Well, this story started with my visit to a local auction house, here in Thailand. Someone brought in a metal detector to auction off. It was new, but a very cheapy, made in Viet Nam. I was thinking if I could get it for nothing, I could flip it at another auction house. Well, I didnt go to the auction that night, so it was sold, to an old guy that knew absolutely nothing about metal detectors. His grand father had lost a ring a couple years ago, so this guy thought he could find it. He turned it on and made a couple of sweeps, and there it was!! So now he has the ring, and the detector will be back in the next auction. I guess the moral of the story is, dont underestimate a cheap detector or underestimate people.
