    Childhood Friends

I recently connected with a childhood Friend and neighbor that I haven't seen in 40 years. It was accomplished on the internets through "Facebook."

    Ain't this internets great?

We conversed about playing football in the fall while the local college team blasted over a radio, talked about Bible camp and other kids names from the neighborhood were mentioned.

He is now older as am I and it is hard for me to imagine what my friend is now like. As I'm sure that he is just as mystified as to who I now am.

I hope to one day see my childhood friend again and relive the memories that we both share.

Have you recently connected with past childhood friends?
    How did the meeting occur?
Were you more surprised at them or they of you?

Sometimes, Friends that have been lost for years can be found and the results can be amazing!

    Please share your experiences!

    Best Wishes,
    Scott

Up until 2 years ago, I was not in contact with my friends. Different lifestyles made me separate from them by my late 20's. We all get together several times a year now, mostly for concerts. Funny thing is when I saw them for the first time in 40-45 there were some I would ever recognize, the rest without a problem. One had the most distinctive laugh, I heard that before I actually saw him.

What did we catch up on first.. All those who past away before their prime. The funniest part, if you can call it that, is that several died at 27, just like the rock stars whose life they chose to imitate.
