What's wrong with this country that there is such focus on sports in college that an atrocity of this magnitude could go so far for so long ?

I wouldn't be calling the men and women in law enforcement idiots. Sandusky on the other hand is a different story.

When this was all breaking I was shocked at the cult of Penn State. Children were raped and all people cared about was their (&*%#% football program. Definitely shook my beliefs about people in this country.

Good ole Jerry is going to have a tough time in the pen. They don't like child rapists in there.

Jerry's only request was to serve his time in the juvinal detention jail. lol The sports attraction in the world has led down a few dark pathes, the child molesting, the enhansing drug use, the fights by the crowds watching, the "bounty" placed on other players, The fixed games, and hockey is starting to look like the old Roman gladiator matches. I think spectators would be better off spending there money elsewhere. Of course in college you are given no choice. When i attended you had to pay the sports fee to see the games, there was no choice.

I hear you Jeff, the continuing investigations are going to keep it in the spotlight for a long time to come I'm afraid. I hope they get everyone who helped him cover up too. It's gonna take Penn state a very long time to recover from this.

I would have loved to walk in on Jerry molesting someone...there would be no trial. I would have seriously beat him to death. Someone like that is just a predator that doesn't need to be amongst human beings.

Mr. Roger GODell has a problem, he doesn't have the proof. I believe he will be caught "manufacturing" evidence. They have already been proven to have done it a few times in that scandal. ESPN had a video this weekend that showed the possibility of 'doctoring' of the video of Hargrove. The same evidence the GODell claimed was proof positive of Hargrove's involvement.

GODell got the story pulled, if I understand correctly. That's ok, I swiped a copy.
