"Men who have blue eyes are far more attracted to blue-eyed
women than they are to women with brown or green eyes,
Reuters reports of new research at the University of Tromso in
Norway.
Why? It's the law of genetics. Eye color can help determine if
their partner has been faithful. When both parents have blue
eyes, their children will also have blue eyes--always. If the baby
has brown eyes, she's a cheater.
"Before you request a paternity test, spend a few minutes looking
at your child's eye color," lead study author Bruno Laeng wrote in
the journal Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology. "Blue-eyed men
may have unconsciously learned to value a physical trait that can
facilitate recognition of own kin."
In this study, the Norwegian team asked 88 students to rate the
attractiveness of models based on photographs, which were
manipulated so that half of them had blue eyes and the other half
had brown eyes, reports Reuters.
What happened? The blue-eyed male volunteers showed a distinct
preference for blue-eyed women. Interestingly, the men with brown
eyes, who can't tell paternity based on their children's eye color, had
no preferences for women's eye color. No matter their own eye color,
women showed no preference.
In addition, a second study of 443 young adults came to the same
conclusion: Men with blue eyes preferred partners with blue eyes."

having blue eyes, thought i would put in my two cents worth...the old saying that you can look into peoples eyes and see their inner souls....when you look into blue/green eyes you can do this......when you look into brown eyes all you see is your own reflection, or just a dead spot, but never see the soul....you can look into blue/green eyes and see anger or happiness but brown eyes reveal neither.....they never sparkle...............g

HMMM, I guess that I am a traitor since I am married to a definitely brown eyed gal.
Gypsy, we just might have been a good combination, since I have blue/grey eyes. They also change color depending upon my mood, Deeeeep Blue when I am thinking of you, sigh, flat Grey when I am thinking of shooting the competition . All of my Id cards and data post this, since it has caused problems in the past.
This gives my Tiger an unfair advantage sniff.

As for that study, it was flawed as far as I can see. If it had been taken in a country such as the US which has no emphasis on eye color such as a Scandinavian country, it might have been less loaded. There, they are conditioned to see in terms of blue eyes.

Of course you realize that blue is very recessive, in a few more generations they will be practically eliminated.so it is a moot question / statement.
Different colored eyes is not good. It shows a clear imbalance in the health of the person, having an eye with white over the color is indicative of high mucus content and ph imbalance.
Most people are born with blue eyes that change throughout their life, very few people have true brown eyes.
My brother and sister both have blue eyes. I was born with the "souless" brown variety. (But I carry a secret blue gene).
I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines. I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.
My wife has happy brown eyes and knows that treasure hunting is far more important than showing up for work.
