The difference is convenience. The knife was convenient to the attackers there. Here guns are convenient.

The problem, therefore, isn't guns but mental problems. Evil people will always find a means to carry out their wishes.

Would you prefer that the next time someone goes off the deep end they use poison gas or a fertilizer bomb?

Having worked in the public schools, I can guarantee you that anyone with a limited knowledge of chemistry could walk onto a campus UNARMED and kill dozens if not hundreds of children using only the chemicals available in the Janitor's workroom.

Rebel, I don't believe evil is a natural thing. Thus, evil is a mental problem, a sign of a diseased mind. Be they genius or idiot, evil is still a sign mental problems.

There is a particular ink pen I used to carry with me to court which I was instructed not to bring any more. The pen is stainless steel and someone had outfitted one with a triangular blade to replace the normal refill cartridge.

They can be dangerous in the wrong hands.

Still have part of a pencil in my arm where a girl stabbed me back in the fifth grade.

Wow hasn't the sword, the Bowie, the arkansas toothpick and several other knives been used in mass killings as far back as medieval times even through the civil war and World War One and two? Just saying. If you don't have a gun or run out of ammo. Gentleman affix your bayonets

I bet one of those Chinese 'Puters over the Head can be dangerous too.
Better ban computers that are not bolted down too.

Now wait if someone is sitting at the computer & you grab the back of their head
& Slam it on the keyboard .... OUCH !

No more computers not made of soft nerf foam

maybe we just need to give every single adult an off switch,
and a Registered baby sitter to follow us around in case the off switch needs to be used .

One of the people I respect said this; "I am not anti-gun, I'm pro-knife. Consider the merits of the knife. In the first place you have to catch up with someone in order to stab him. A general substitution of knives for guns would promote physical fitness. We'd turn into a whole nation of great runners. Plus, knives don't ricochet and people are seldom killed while cleaning their knives."

Yes, sometimes ricochets do happen but I haven't seen much on the news lately. Have you?
