A lot of us have things stored in our memory that are now gone from the general public view. They can be material items, sayings, Or just things you don't view anymore like TV shows. LETS DIG THEM OUT!!!!
I will start this off. - I can remember when Levi's only came with buttons on the fly.
- I can remember when I sat and watched Howdy Dode, or how ever you spell it, on TV
- I can remember Happy Days with the Fonz. Things had to be COOL for him.
- I can remember Coogie with his comb on 77 Sunset Strip.
Your turn!!!! Frank

I remember when the Dallas Cowboys were a dynasty.
I remember I could still take my boyscout pocketknife to school.
I remember my grandads house in the summer time.... That's the best memory by far..

Girls could only wear slacks to school if it was below freezing, & only under our dresses. when we got to school, we had to take the slacks off(that's why the dress)
Riding on the back dash of our 51 plymouth & no seatbelt in sight.
playing in the woods for the whole day without worrying about more than a snapping turtle.
going to town was a once a month affair that would end at the 5 & 10 with a coke at the soda fountain.

Hay that reminded me. Riding in the RUMBLE SEAT of a ford roadster. Anyone remember the rumble seats. And we weren't plagued with seat belts then. Back in the days of freedom of choice with no big brother intervening. Frank

How about Kate Smith singing "God Bless America". She had the voice to put forth the best rendition. Frank

I think that peaked during the Reagan years - all downhill from there. I know most of you dislike BO but I actually think it was worse during the carter years - gasoline lines, hyperinflation, Iran hostage situation. Was downright embarrassing!!

Crispin, Would you believe, 75 and no meds except maybe an Excedrin maybe every few months. Of course I havent seen a doctor in about 13 years and that was actually a parametric when my house burned down. Maybe I am dying and don't know it!!! Frank

Awesome! I rarely see somebody that old who is not on something for some reason. If you are not having pain and do not feel any lumps then probably best to stay out of the doctor's office.

In the spirit of this thread: Did your house burn down because you forgot to turn the stove off?
