Signs You're Getting Too Old To Drive

You think an SUV might be too small to be safe.

It takes more than four minutes to get out of your car.

When backing into a parking spot, you just back up until you hear something.

It scares you to drive the speed limit.

The only thing you pass on the road anymore is the Amish.

You use cruise control because your leg fell asleep.

You use cruise control at 25 mph.

You inquired if the dealership could install magnifying glass for the windshield.

Your turn signal has been on since 2003.

Your bumper sticker endorses Eisenhower.

Well.....

Just presented my PowerPoint this morning......

I received 59 of 60 points for content and 19 of 20 for presentation.

I've taken the 2 parts of the Final and still have until midnight tonight to submit my Thesis.

Also picked up my "Graduation Packet" that includes tickets for those I invite.

One for my Landlord, the BEST LANDLORD, EVAH!
Two for my locksmith Friend and his Wife,
Two for a Friend, and her Husband, who I worked with at Dominos when I first started this adventure. She always has been a positive influence and always kept me focused on the "prize!"

There are 6 tickets.

The sixth one is for my Mom, who will attend but doesn't need a ticket.....

Hope All are Well!

Best Always,

Scott

Occasionally, I have moments of lucidity...

I just had one of those moments!

I'm typing as fast as I can to preserve the thought that originated from that moment....

"When you know where you're going, the Journey is half achieved towards the Goal!"

I know, I know...

Back to the Thesis....

Sheesh! :laughing7:

Best,

Scott

"Oh! Just one more thing....."

"Silent Lucidity"

Hush now, don't you cry
Wipe away the teardrop from your eye
You're lying safe in bed
It was all a bad dream
Spinning in your head
Your mind tricked you to feel the pain
Of someone close to you leaving the game of life
So here it is, another chance
Wide awake you face the day
Your dream is over... or has it just begun?

There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind
Commanding in another world
Suddenly you hear and see
This magic new dimension

I- will be watching over you
I- am gonna help you see it through
I- will protect you in the night
I- am smiling next to you, in Silent Lucidity

[spoken during solo]
(Visualize your dream)
(Record it in the present tense)
(Put it into a permanent form)
(If you persist in your efforts)
(You can achieve dream control)
(Dream control)
(How are we feeling today, better??)
(Dream control, dream control)
(Help me)

If you open your mind for me
You won't rely on open eyes to see
The walls you built within
Come tumbling down, and a new world will begin
Living twice at once you learn
You're safe from pain in the dream domain
A soul set free to fly
A round trip journey in your head
Master of illusion, can you realize
Your dream's alive, you can be the guide but...

I- will be watching over you
I- am gonna help to see it through
I- will protect you in the night
I- am smiling next to you....

About those military patches that I offered for free awhile back...

No one showed interest, so I did a bit of swappin' with my local
Military Surplus and Supply store on the way home from school.

This is what I bartered for my next trip into my mountains.
(COMING SOON!)

Hmmm....
The "Chicken Breast?"
or the "Grilled Jalapeno Pepper Jack Flavored Beef Patty?"

Which one was your favorite?

I can only comment on C-Rats....:laughing7:

Scott

SHAKE YOUR MONEYMAKER!

(The full album of that title....A GREAT album....)

Always keep on enjoying life because it is a personal commodity that has great return potential on investments.
But anyone's portfolio could close at any moment...

Best of Wishes,

"Seeing Things"

I find it hard to shed a tear
You brought it all on yourself my dear
Wrong, yes I may be
Don't leave a light on for me
'Cause I ain't comin' home
It hurts me baby to be alone
Yes, it hurts me baby

A hundred years will never ease
Hearing things I won't believe
I saw it with my own two eyes
All the pain that I can't hide
And this pain starts in my heart
And this love tears us apart
You won't find me bent down on my knees
Ain't bendin' over backwards baby
Not to please

'Cause I'm seeing things for the first time
I'm seeing things for the first time, oh yeah
I'm seeing things for the first time
In my life, in my life

I used to dream
Of better days that never came
Sorry ain't nothin' to me
I'm gone and that's the way it must be
So please I've done my time
Lovin' you is such a crime
You won't fine me down on, on my knees
Won't fine me over backwards baby
Just to please

'Cause I'm seeing things for the first time
I"m seeing things for the first time
Seeing things for the first time
Oh I'm seeing things for the first time
Yeah, seeing things for the first time
I'm seeing things for the first time
Yeah, I'm seeing things for the first time
In my life, in my life

She sounds healthy.

It's a fun boat! I like the sound as well.
I'd like to install this set up on my cuddy cabin. It's electrically switched so you can either have it out the side and loud or run through the stock set up and be much quieter. I don't think I'd want it loud all the time...

OK.

In the middle of contemplating the start of my Thesis......:tongue3:

I have determined that the "Treasure Tube" et al will begin, fresh and new on this page.

http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/au24k/

I have determined that this is the best place, due to previously discussed problems....

One does not have to be a "Charter" member to access this thread soon to be posted, called:

"SCOTT'S TREASURE TUBE."

Gimme a minute to work out the details....
After all, I AM also writing a Final Thesis due by midnight!

Best,

Scott

Just as a query...

Has anybody ever heard of, "Huckle-Buckle Beanstalk?"

No?

OK.

Just thought I'd ask....

latest

"Another lost tradition and/or custom of our older relatives.....Soon to be the center of a future student's thesis....and time moves on....and changin'...Here, in the 'Twilight Zone.'"

Best,

Scott

Sorry for wandering off topic ,again.
Rain all day and getting stircrazy.
No work on the old 11 h.p. Briggs today. Time for new synthetic oil. Driven clutch may not be opening ,or I'm just not going fast enough....
Anyway...
Watched an early shockwave around the early eighties ..probably the same dragway.
Seemed a lot faster watching it live.
Turbo jet helicopter engines. A fine mist of oil/unburned fuel all over.

A smoky one for Dieselram. L.o.l..
