Well,
I lost out on the Epiphone. Dang! :BangHead:
---------
Ahem!
I'm communicating with the owner of a company that installs commercial and residential garage doors.
I had sent him my newest resume last night and he had replied that he liked what he saw and wanted me to call him this morning, which I did.

He is supposed to call me back this evening to hopefully schedule an interview tomorrow.

My Vet Rep from the Dept. of Labor called this afternoon to check on me and any progress I have had and I filled him in.

He knows people who are Vets who work for the company and wanted the owner's email address to give a recommendation for me!

There is a lot of travel involved and I had told the owner this morning that I was ready to roll.
He said they have a big job coming up in Memphis....

When he calls me tonight, I'll mention that I have my own tools and have installed and repaired garage doors before.

I'm cautiously optimistic....

(Update later.....)

Hope All are Well!

Best Wishes Always,

Scott

Ain't it great to be multi-talented?

OH!
And Bill,
I haven't forgot of the habenero seeds I promised.
Send me a PM of your address!

Anyone else want seeds?

I have enough to send to a few other Friends....

PM me with your address!

You know,
After looking over my past posts,

I really don't regret anything I've said.

Perhaps things not allowed because of military clearance.....

But....

What I have posted is true Scott.

If there is a problem or discussion required with my posts, Well, Let's discuss them!

I've never been one to mince words or back down of how I feel or what I believe.

However, I'm ALWAYS open to discussion!

Certainly we all can find common ground.

Best,

Scott

Sold a few of my Treasures today to pay rent.

Including some of my Mom's Jewelry.....

I guess that it would be hard to keep them if I was living in a refrigerator box under a bridge....

Yeah, 16 years after she died, Mom is still helping Scott..

Seriously crying.

Perhaps I should relate my love for my Mom.

When She told me that she had Cancer, I moved back home from out of state to care for her.

When she went to Chemo, I provided the transportation.

Things looked well until she was admitted to the hospital one day.

I visited her daily and we played dominoes and I took a king-size Hershey Milk Chocolate candy bar to her.

Then one day, as I was laying floor tile in a Church,
My Aunt, her Sister, called me and said, "Scott, Come. Now."

I arrived in time to see her draw her last breath.....
She knew I was there.....

I'm sorry, I can't post any more right now.....

Thinking of selling one of my pistols.

Yeah, I know....

Anyway...I described it as such....

"The pistol is racked and ready for use. All that is holding her back is the safety and a reason."

I really don't want to sell, but....
9mm ammo is costly....

Still looking for a .357 or .38 wheel....
Once had a .357 Highway Patrol Model.

Sweet Weapon!
Pierced a rabbit's ears in my garden one time.
Never had trouble with rabbits after that.

(Never kill an animal UNLESS YOU ARE HUNGRY AND WILL EAT)

Scott

A story of a Mauser 7.62 bolt action and a chicken hawk that was a pest?
Maybe later, Friends.
Who Won? Duh!

Hmm, Chicken hawks. Got some hot sauce? Nom, nom! :headbang:

More meat than squab......

Wife was not amused and refused to cook.

I cooked and refused even a taste for her. Dig? See how that works?

I guess that she had never been hungry.....
Not to mention squirrel and rabbit.....Damn city slicker.....

OK...

The story of the Mauser and the Chicken Hawk..

Rounds at that time were about $5 each.

I had chickens on my property and counted on eggs to justify my expenditures.

After a couple of days where I found my chickens killed, I determined to find out why.

I found a chicken hawk circling my brood and determined that was the problem.

Well, this Chicken Hawk was smart. He never roosted in a tree as long as he saw me with my weapon.

But, I was smarter.

I hid in the chicken house and waited.

Sure enough, He eventually lit in a tree to scope the chicken yard.

I Flipped and adjusted the sight on my Mauser, aimed and fired.

He Fell in the yard after losing his head and I never had any more problems. Dig?

I cooked dinner that night.

And, believe it or not, I still have feathers.....
And maybe a claw. Somewhere around here......Maybe

Scott

PS. The same Mauser was able to disintegrate a cinder block. I know because.....
Practice makes perfect, right?

Boss,

You DO know that fish will bite in the rain, right?
LOL!

It has to do with the barometric pressure.
True, fish generally won't bite when the pressure is low or falling, but sometimes when the pressure is still high or unchanging, they can't wait for a snack!

Be Well, Brother!

Best,

Scott

Reminds me of a joke:

A guy went ice fishing once and sat next to a fellow who was already there.
Well, Guy dropped his line and waited.

Buddy, who was already there, was pulling them in left and right.
Guy never got a bite.

After about an hour, Guy asks Buddy, "What's your secret?"

Buddy says, "Mmmuphm."

Guy says, "What?"

Buddy spits out a half dozen worms from his mouth and says, "Ya gotta keep the worms warm!"

OV,

Why you do this to me? LOL!

Will it be for sale?

A Gibson sunburst Tiger Maple?

Dual Humbuckers?

Best,

Scott

Yep dual humbuckers with coil splitting option. Pull up on either volume pot...it's now a single coil!

Well Scott this pic explains a bit more. (two or three clicks to supersize)

DSCN9882.JPG

Epiphone. Chinese Epiphone. Gibson has the factory build Epi's only, better quality control.
I had to sell my Gibson's, Fenders, Gretches and other US guitars, when I fell on hard times years ago. I can't justify buying US Gibsons again as now they sell for a few thousand bucks! When I bought mine a couple hundred...
Japanese, Korean, Mexican and even Chinese guitars are pretty damn good. I almost always switch out the electronics and give them a fret dressing immediately.

I'am trying to purchase a cabin on the Applegate river 100 miles inland. More opportunity then this one horse town I was Born in...and still here! A population which will help my construction business, and... I can open a guitar repair/buy/sell/trade shop! My home town with a population of 6,000 is limiting me, and my wife. and my daughter. A town of 30+ thousand with a city of almost a hundred thousand just down the road.... ah... I will live in the sticks, but be able to drive 20 minutes to the metropolis.
