How many Mad magazines have you had taken away from you in school?

Me? About a dozen. This one teacher I had in the third grade, wait a minute!
Just who's on the couch here?

HA! In 1966, I went to Boy Scouts Camp Rock Enon in Gore, West Va. for 2 weeks... LOVED it! Got home, found that my dad & mom burned EVERY ONE of my MAD mags; I was NOT amused... in fact, I was PO'ed. One had parody of the Beatles; will look for it on e-bay...

    QUEENSRYCHE LYRICS

    "Revolution Calling"

For a price I'd do about anything
    Except pull the trigger
For that I'd need a pretty good cause
Then I heard of Dr. X
    The man with the cure
    Just watch the television
Yeah, you'll see there's something going on

    Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
    There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
    Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

    Revolution calling
    Revolution calling
    Revolution calling you
    (There's a) Revolution calling
    Revolution calling
    Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I'm tired of all this bullshit
They keep selling me on T.V.
    About the communist plan
    And all the shady preachers
    Begging for my cash
Swiss bank accounts while giving their
    Secretaries the slam

    They're all in Penthouse now
Or Playboy magazine, million dollar stories to tell
    I guess Warhol wasn't wrong
    Fame fifteen minutes long
Everyone's using everybody, making the sale

    I used to think
That only America's way, way was right
But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives
Gotta make a million doesn't matter who dies

    Revolution calling
    Revolution calling
    Revolution calling you
    (There's a) Revolution calling
    Revolution calling
    Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
    Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

I thought that was interesting. Kind of like my ex-wife getting in the last word and then slamming the door.

I really got a chuckle out of it~

How to judge and qualify a friend... by G.I.B.

    I use the wallet test.

I ask you to hold my wallet for a day or two. When I get my wallet back I slip it back into my pocket and say 'thanks,' and walk away- you are a friend.

If I have to look inside before I put it back in my pocket- you are an acquaintance.

If I get it back and it's empty, you are either the ex-wife, or the IRS.

no hammer mate...facts are facts and these are the facts. We are just stating what has happened and what the set up is. Nothing wrong with defining the parameters of the playing field. Saw a sticker on somebody's house that said, "Well armed Civilian! Nothing in here is worth dying for." Just setting up the parameters.

yeah, but I have seen facts get hammered. In addition I have asked for facts to back up statements and have seen the hammer. Some here don't take kindly to facts.

well I do admit the rules spell it out. Tnet is a private entity and can do anything it wants (although it's hard to imagine the way some of them think of the Gov. you would think the Gov would shut them down if they want to grab guns) WE have the choice to go along with the rules or move on.

Vintage issues without creases on the back cover "fold-ins" command higher premiums!

Kinda like the giant joint paper in the Cheech and Chong "Big Bambu" album. And the inner sleeve of Led Zeppelin's "In Through the Out Door" where you add water and color emerges....

    A song from this album....

    OK, the FULL album....

    Ever hear of "Coverdale-Page?"

    David Coverdale of Whitesnake fame....

    OK....
    Coverdale and Page....
    In Vegas.
    1995.

I was staying in Vegas later for a few days in Sept. of '96.

Just down the street at the Monte Carlo Casino and Hotel.
Mere yards away from Tupac's murder that night....
(I WASN'T INVOLVED! According to official police reports....)
