Harbor freight is now in Rockland here too. As you said itís cheap tools, but some of them are pretty tough for what they are. I almost always buy quality tools, I donít mind spending more though. We even have a five guys burger in Augusta now! Sadly itís at least 20 miles each way for me!!!!!

Since I'll have to move soon, I went to an auction this morning to check out the way that they do things....

    https://www.estatesales.net/companie...a/30533/129146

I bid on a few items, mostly coins, but was outbid on what I'd pay.
Which I would look at as a good sign, as it might increase the potential selling price of my goods.
Of course, the fervor of a live auction always increases the bidding....
One hopes that not someone wants their item, but 2 or more want their item!

I did win the bid on an antique "Par-X" 8 piece 3/8 drive socket set in original box.
They appear to have never been used!
Par-X is an early version of "Snap-On."
    Before "Blue Point."

The Snap-On dealer comes by where I work every week and I occasionally purchase tools from them.
If you know of Snap-on quality and prices, you can imagine what the vintage set I bought would have cost and is now worth.
The next time they come to sell, I might be selling!
I understand that they are always looking for vintage tools to add to their museum.

    I paid less than $20!
Ya gotta know what things are worth, Dig?

As far as the auction house goes, they seem to run a tight ship, and, having been involved in auction houses in the past, including auctioning myself,
I think I might just sell a few items there in the future.
    -----------------
I then went to a Flea market I had never been to, between Gainesville and Dahlonega,
and talked with the owner about renting space to sell some of my items.
I was impressed with the "upscale" atmosphere and signed a 6 month lease for a large upright "show case" of 5 shelves to sell coins, currency and small collectibles.
I signed the lease agreement, filled out the paperwork and paid the first month's rent.
(Pictures soon when my display is ready!)

    Dipsy Doodle Antiques and More

I also talked with the owner's husband about helping with building maintenance and mentioned that I am a locksmith
and can help provide keys to other tenants who have items to sell and need keys to increase the value of their antiques.
Overall, I think that it is a better run outfit and I'll be more happy here than the last foray I had with a flea market.....
My lease is initially for 6 months and starts May 1st.
After that, it is month by month.
    --------------------
Then, I went to meet the weasel at the other flea market for my monthly $500 payment.
As I expected, he said that he was "short."
I said, "OK. What you got that I'm interested in?"
When all was said and done, after about an hour of negotiations, I got about $300 worth of coins (for $200 credit) and $300 cash.
The coins are being catalogued tonight for sale in the new flea market.
    --------------------------
After viewing the property I spoke of earlier, I think there would be too much cost involved having to run electric,
drill a well, lay out a septic system and begin rehab on the house.
    NUTZ!

    Oh well. I'll keep looking.
    But, time is running out......

    WHEW!
    Had a busy Saturday.
    How 'bout you?

    Hope all are Well.

It has come to my attention that another "Vintage" song is being used for commercial purposes.

    Reached #1 April 6, 1974.
Was on the charts for 17 weeks.
    Top 40 for 14 weeks.
    Top 10 for 7 weeks.
    45 years ago.....
    And...

    The song was.....

    Yeah.
I remember this song when it first came out.
(Sometimes I wonder why some groups never advanced beyond the "One Hit Wonder" status.....)

    Now, it is an "Oldie."

    Sheesh!
    Growing old sucks....
But, it beats having Friends and Family throwing dirt on your coffin.....

Tomorrow, I have the responsibility of clearing the roof gutters, picking up lawn debris and mowing for the first time this season.

    OH, Joy!

Can you say, "A full weekend of leisure?"

    Yeah.
    Me neither....

    Y'all be good, hear?

    Scott

    OH!
    I almost forgot!
I got some "Ghost Pepper Cheese" and will grill some burgers tomorrow after the obligatory yard work.

Folks, this is the real deal.
That cheese is hot, even for me!
    I got plenty for everyone.
    Y'all come getcha some!
And bring your antacids, 'cause I ain't foolin'.....

And, what shall the value of this Ike Silver S Mint Proof set be worth?
    On the ropes?
    I call the shots.
I gave $10 in credit owed.
Easily worth 5 x what I gave in credit.....
Yes, obtained today. Among other items.....
You don't want to owe Scotty, Dig?
Certainly I will gain in resale what I feel is fair compensation of what is owed plus interest....

Eisenhower was President when I was born....
I might just keep this for my collection.....

    Am I a "Bad Guy?"
    How do I feel?
