haven't seen you crayons but I did get to see Janis in Philadelphia in 1968. At the convention center along with BST, Joe Cocker, Santana, Chicago, and a bunch of other groups. Two day concert all for the amazing price of $7.00 each day.

Though for Janis the characters are reversed for Bobby Mcgee its still the story of a runner. Not the cause of grief but avoidance by putting miles behind.
Summertime with haunted carousel type music meant as a soothing tune for a young child needing a way out. And later as an adult acknowledging for some its the road alone. J.m.o.

Used to date a Mcgee type runner, just before owning my first car. a nine mile walk one way if a hitch didn,t happen. she never could out run her demons i hope she found peace some where.

To be more precise, Mav is short for Maverick......as in the character James Garner created in the 1950's program. Maverick was a gambler who would rather con (or manipulate) someone than fight them. Master of manipulation would be a great title and an honor:)
