As y'all may have noticed,

Once again I'm able to edit without a headache involved.

Thanks to the Folks working on clearing up the issues!

:notworthy:

Godspeed and if there are any code or other issues that I may be of assistance,
Please PM me.

We all just have to show patience and learn to overcome our own foibles first.

When I'm stuck behind an idiot, on the way to school perhaps,
I use the moments,
which are mine,
to spend any way that I choose,

I think of how many packs of paper towels should I take to Julie?
I bet that I can either get towels cheap at the thrift store or free to take to the shelter......

Or,

I see that the buds in that tree are starting to show.
I'll bet that my mountains are coming to life!

What?
Oh, the traffic is moving!
Here we go!

Yes.
Every day, YOU are in control of where your mien shall lay.

I used to listen to hard rock while driving and found my aggression level at
an unacceptable level. Crap!
I'm over 50!
I can't afford a stroke!
Really! I've no insurance.

So,
I changed my listening habits while driving.
I found a great station that plays Classical.

OK.
Don't write me off as a "fuddy-duddy" just yet.....

But,

I'd much rather think of my mountains and the critters at the shelter
than to WASTE my time stewing, cussing and "gesturing" in traffic,
while I have just a minute to myself.....

Just minute by minute....

How 'bout you?

My Best,

Scott

PS.

Sorry,
Should have posted this in the "Random Thoughts" thread....

Lately,
Since the weather has been cold,
Actually, all of this semester,

I've worn a stocking cap to classes with my 14" pony tail tucked underneath.

One day, before math class last week, in the hallway, I ran into the cutest girl in the class.
In my connoisseur opinion, at least....
most.png

Anyway,

We were talking and somehow or another, I took off my hat, said, "Imagine that!"

She is a neat girl,
but,
I'm not going to college to pick up chicks.
My God! I'm older than her parents!

PLEASE!

Here's a song to post for our next DJ inductee:

"No Woman No Cry." Bob Marley
Who will answer the call?

But,

Still,

I took off my hat.....Imagine that....

I love "throwing down the rap" (?)
with the kids.

Players don't be hatin', yo...

Best,

Scott

Imagine how the other kids in my Geology Class are gonna react when I'm giving my Power Point, not weaing the cap,
and my hair is down and the natural curls cover my shoulders!
Anyone want pics? I'll look into it.....

"I took off my hat...."

The Original version....by the remnants of the 5 Man Electrical Band....

Special shout-out to my Northern Friends in Canada!

"Riddle me this, batman.
If you're north of the "Mason-Dixon Line,"
Doesn't that make you, by definition,

A

Yankee?"

View attachment 963911
"Perhaps. But,
In my case,
I'm a "Yankee who came south, and stayed.
We're called...

Damn Yankees!"

LOOK! Ted's holding a guitar instead of a rifle!

Best,

Scott

PS.
Yes,
I had a lonely childhood....

Oh,

And if you thought I was being cute or flippant about the cabbage soup,

It's real.

Just like I'm real.

I post my thoughts, fears, aspirations and advice.

Please never doubt my feelings for all of you,

Relief is on it's way.

Yeah,
You KNOW that you wanna hear "Flashlight,"
Doncha?

OK, For you Brother!

Ah, Reminds me of the 70's and when we would have a "Block/keg party.

I was the DJ most times....
I had the beat, dig?

Never had any problems until a good friend was murdered at a local park in a petty, Bul$hit disagreement......

Word came back to the party and I left all of my gear to be at the hospital for his relatives.

I had to call many of our Friends with the news.....

It's a long story but,
I attended every session of the court proceedings,
because I was subpoenaed but never had to testify......

One of many sad days in my life.....

Now,
How 'bout some smooth Commodores and Lionel?
For my Friend, Russ....

Best Always,

Scott

Surely flying into the wrath of moderators like our Friend, Treasure Hunter,

"I will state that I'm a Proud conservative!
Yeah, I embrace certain liberal policies....."

Any stirrings?

Too much politics?

Well?
Where's our favorite Mod?

What ever it takes to bring Treasure Hunter to communication with our Friend, Crispin.

My Best Wishes,

Scott

Here's a song for my Friend Mike (BC1969):

Sorry that it's over 30 years old,
but it still is in my "Daily Hum list."

My Best,

Scott

Another song on my "Daily Hum List."

No.
I'll be honest.
I've sang the lyrics several times....
Out loud and proud to the consternation and quizzical looks from those around me....

The words?
Here ya go.
From the album of 1997..

"Tubthumping"

We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing

I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never gonna keep me down
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never gonna keep me down

Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away
He drinks a whiskey drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times

Oh, Danny Boy
Danny Boy

I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never gonna keep me down
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never gonna keep me down

Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away
He drinks a whiskey drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times

Don't cry for me
Next door neighbor

I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never gonna keep me down
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never gonna keep me down

I get knocked down
(We'll be singing)
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
(When we're winning)
I get knocked down
(We'll be singing)
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
(Ooh, ooh, ooh)

Never "not get up again, by never being knocked down."

Much easier, believe me...

Best,

Scott

Hopefully to answer the burning question,

That everyone wants to know the answer,

I present,

"Why did the chicken cross the road."

Yeah, I've too much time on my hands....

OK.
Spring Break is over.

I've fulfilled my self imposed goals to advance my academic requirements.

Now it is the "back stretch" towards home.

Time to put together an A grade presentation in my Geology Class,
and,
Coupled with an anticipated favorable grade in Quantitative Math,
I can still maintain Honors status!

So,

Another bowl of cabbage soup and let's make this happen!

"Let's get it started....."

Best,

Scott

As some of you might know,

I buy, sell trade and damn near swindle to make a livin'.
Yeah, I'm all up in eBay, and a dollar here or there buys a bag of ramen for tonight's dinner.

I've recently found a website that allows world-wide swapping of coins.

I've come out ahead on some swaps and,
well, not so much on one or two.....
Considering international shipping costs.

I've currently been involved in negotiations and shipping
for the last month with maybe 10- 12 different folks from all over the world.
Right now, I'm currently involved with negotiating 20 different swaps.

Tonight, I got a message,

From someone in the US after a month's transpirations,
wanting to know if I was still interested in swapping 3 coins apiece.
(after their delay in communicating....)

My Reply:

Goodness, my Friend!

It's good to hear from you.

Hope that Health and Happiness is your Friend!

I think that I have pulled from my collection the coins that you desire
and have held them in reserve for you despite the heavy swapping that I've been engaged in recently.

Allow me to re-familiarize myself to our most recent considerations
and I shall modify our current swap negotiations as necessary.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Best of Wishes,

Scott

Hey!

I ain't "swindling!"
Perhaps my verbiage will weed out the ignorant....

Best,

Scott

A word that I'd like to discuss.
"Profiling."

It can be discussed without political innuendoes.
I just suggested a way to "winnow the chaff."

For example:
What have you determined or formulated in your mind about me?
Other than I'm crazy....

What led you to those impressions?

You probably already have a picture of me in your mind.
Why?
Because of "profiling associations."

We all profile on a daily basis.

How about the benefit of a doubt,
just 'cause it might be me that you meet today?

Be Your Best,

Scott

Do something for yourself this weekend and be Happy!
