Covers theme still? Well, nearly one.:laughing7:

O.K. a cover then.

I knew that my Friend RC wanted some of this action.

Here's another "cover,"
following tonight's theme.....

A "Cover" of Tracy Chapman's,
"A Fast Car."

Enjoy!

Best,

Scott

Yes. I have played "covers" on stage. It sucked.
I have so many of my own original songs...

An older woman brought a Sentry Safe to the shop today.
Lost the keys.
It had an electronic keypad and a keyed lock.
Said that her medicine was inside.
Needed the safe opened. NOW!

So I pulled out my pick-set and had it opened in about 30 seconds.
A "double-sided" key with wafers on only one side...

The electronic keypad was of no use; They hadn't installed batteries!

She left the safe and wanted keys made.

No problem.

I made a set of keys and programmed the keypad after installing batteries.

"Say, Scott, How 'bout that "side-bar" Ford Focus ignition you talked about?"

"Well, lookie here, Barney,

I've still got to take pictures,
and work up the narrative....."

But, nobody REALLY cares, right?

Best,

Scott

One last question...

Have you ever bought a bottle of Premium single grain Scotch, opened it and immediately threw away the top?
I JUST now realized how close I am to my Degree...,

And, yes,
I threw the top away!

What a Sumer we shall have!

From sometime last year...

Of course.
Some want the original version.
You ask, I deliver.....

Dig?
"Here we go! Here we go, Scott. Get your Campin' on, Brother!
Birthday trip a week or two from today.....

Lesson to be learned here: Time sucks.
How will you spend your "time?"
Best to get old than to have folks throw dirt on ya.....
Am I right?

A final Toast and Wish to my Friends,
As I pour the round,

That someday,
Your and my wish for helping others may cross paths.
Imagine what we can accomplish together!

SALUTE!

Always,
My Best Wishes,

Scott

At least your not holding the top and looking for the bottle.

RC,

I love you as my Brother,
But,

Get outta my head or I'll beat on you as a brother.:occasion14:

So, you bring up "Novelty" songs.
Have you heard of "The Pearl Boys?"

Perhaps Chris Bouchillon?

I have an early, rare pressing of Chris, on Columbia, from the 20's from WAY BACK in Uncle Scotty's closet...

You won't find this one on your "you-tube."
The title is, "I got mine."
Columbia #15317-D

IMG_1436.JPG

A pressing worth a considerable amount of money, to the right person.
(I've had offers.....)

I have MANY other such pressings...
Ever hear of Kokomo Arnold? Blue Belle? Blind Blake? Ma Rainey?

Best,

Scott

I was thinking if I was to ever write a book about my life's journeys I would title it " Dreams of an Insomniac" That's pretty profound, but read it aloud. To me it makes perfect since.
