In Memory of 10 years ago.

Katrina and Louisiana.

And when I first traveled 850 miles to Gainesville, Georgia.

A place I had never been.
I had no place to live.
No Job waiting for me.
No Friends.
No Family.
No one.
Nothing....

Only a Dream and a Self Confidence nurtured over time....
(and a few tools of many trades....)

But, I had done my research; Gold, Hiking and Camping!

A short 10 years later, it seems strange, compared to now...
HAVING TO STUDY TO GRADUATE!

I don't mind the regimen, but Math always throws grenades at me!
With pulled pins!
Dammit..... :tongue3:

What were you doing 10 years ago today?

"Life Changing?"

I certainly hope so.

"Shoot, I see every new day as life!"
"What ya gonna do with yer new day, Pilgrim?"

My Best,

Scott

Just called my Anthropology Professor from a few Semesters ago about whether he had been able to identify any of the Ancients, in 2x2 flips, in pages in a notebook, that I had left with him over a year ago. I remember him as a busy man; perhaps on a dig somewhere in the world....:dontknow:
Perhaps a bit absent minded?

Like me?

When I see him, I'll ask, "Can Ya Dig It?" :laughing7:

He said that he had about half of them ID'd and I'm to meet him in his office tomorrow after my class!

I also got an email from Sonja, at DRC, and I'm scheduled to see about repairing medical equipment for a client named, "Benny," A Vet, on Thursday after class.

My, seems like my plate is always full!

Why am I still hungry?

Hope all have a great week!

Best,

Scott

(Approves of musical selection....)

"Serenade"

Did you see the lights
As they fell all around you
Did you hear the music
Serenade from the stars

Wake up, wake up
Wake up and look around you
We're lost in space
And the time is our own

Whoa, whoa
Iiiiiiiiii

Did you feel the wind
As it blew all around you
Did you feel the love
That was in the air

Wake up, wake up
Wake up and look around you
We're lost in space
And the time is our own

Whoa, whoa
Iiiiiiiiii

The sun comes up
And it shines all around you
You're lost in space
And the earth is your own

Whoa, whoa
Whoa

Well wife comes home from New York with her patient tomorrow night. I got called my truck is ready. Because they have been my boys baseball coaches past couple years they gave me a great deal. Be nice to finally have a/c for the first time in 4 years . Had open house tonight. Met my 9 y/o teacher. Very sweet lady. My boy is improving. He is a team effort. I don't give up on him like both his parents did. They had pictures in the hall of the kids. I sent a picture of him fishing. Questions like favorite food, pet, what do you want to be when you grow up...... He wrote "a Patriot like my Grandpa" I was touched. He's my side kick that's for sure. Night all

Ya know,

I've got enough cool coins to offer for contests....

Should I start a new thread on my page titled: "Contest!"

Require humor, knowledge and insight.
Perhaps even code breaking.....

Any ideas?

Best,

Scott

Just bought my wife a new 2016 Subaru Forester tonight. I love the moonroof!

Friend.

If you only have one key, get a spare made NOW!

I'm pretty sure that it's a "chip" key (RFID)
(I'd have to look it up.....)
And a spare is much cheaper than starting from scratch....

Trust me...

And when you do, ask for the key code.

Being a new purchase, require the dealer to provide the key code.
Keep this info in the glove box, written in the owners manual.

All of this may help if you lose your key....

Your Local Subaru DEALER:
"Lost your Key? What a shame!
We'll have to tow it. $150.

Make a key $85.

Program it $50."
------------

Me:
"How 'bout a spare now for about $50?"

-------------

Hope you enjoy your new purchase!

Best,

Scott

Yeah, I've dealt with Subaru's a few times.

Mostly full engine pulls for clutch jobs.
1600 CC engine pulls.
By hand. No lifts.
Just me, on a chrome kitchen chair, lifting nearly as much as I weighed......

I embrace all challenges! Math? AH! Dammit!

Lol! I've done that several times. I used to own a 1981 Subaru Bratt with a 1800cc motor. I removed the motor more times than I care to remember. I used to lift it by myself and initially set it down on the core support to rest my back a second and then lift a second time to finally get it set on the ground...Yup it sucked!! Lol
