As gars as conditions, I'm not a betting man. How about a couple good rounds of chess between friends? I have my board at home set up so I can keep track of the moves.

I like your conditions, my Friend;
A Friendly game.

Now the question arises...

How long will this game take?

A week?
A month?
A hot minute?

I still haven't found a cheap chess set.

I refuse to shop at Wally World....

I'm looking for a small, magnetic chess set....

Perhaps at my next stop for gas?

Shall we limit ourselves first game to 7-10 days due to scheduling or 2 weeks, doesn't bother me my friend. I just wish to participate. Here's what we can do ---- Brother Bill or RC pick a color.......... Don't tell us. You guess and I guess and whosoever is correct, gets white, hey we both have a 50-50 chance right? The way we use to do it is hold 2 pawns behind the back, the opponent chooses, and that was his or her color........ We are kind of divided by miles though haha.

I've got some reading to do of recent posts and corrections to my previous posts, but thought I might relate this before I do.....

I was helping my locksmith Friend today and we went to a house to make a key for a Ford something. Took a chip key, an H-72.

Anywho,
We get there to assess the job and a little "ankle-biter" chihuahua comes running out barking a storm.
I don't think much of it. I make brief eye contact and speak to the dog. Something like, "Hey, Cujo, puppy."
I call ALL dogs Cujo.....

I turn to head to the van to start to cut the key, and "Cujo" gets brave and attacks my left calf.
Hard.
Breaks skin.
Through jeans.
That puts ole Scotty in a whole 'nother realm. Feel me?

With the resident close by, I turn to Mr. "Hit and Run" and say VERY forcefully,
"Come on back and try that again and I'll punt your a$$ across the road!"

The resident collected the lucky to still be alive rat and put him inside.

I asked if the dog had his shots current.
I was assured that they were.
I said,

"If I start foaming at the mouth, I'm coming back.
And I'm gonna bite YOU!"

Just another day, I guess....

OK.

I'll FIND a chess set tomorrow, even at Wally World before I commence my chores of cleaning the roof and gutters, mowing, weed whacking and blowing clippings....

I through waiting on that damned maid to show up, so it looks like I've got dishes to do, vacuuming and it's "Laundry Month" again.....

Soon, We'll play.

And I also like the idea of a game lasting less than a month.

Catch me on-line and in the right frame of mind, it could result in several moves in one night!

Sounds fair. Although I'm a Florida Gator and in deep depression from having just lost to LSU. It was a good game, i do like Georgia and some other teams inthe SEC sounds good.
