It isn't real Pat. Check the other stories and think about them.

The website is a competitor to "The Onion" ... thus the slogan "Rabbits eat Onions".

Awfully funny though. Maybe move to Comedy Central??

I thought only liberals and tree huggers were afraid of gmos. Actually many gmos allow greater crop yields per acre and require significantly less water, pesticides, more weather tolerant, better at resisting pests and diseases, etc, etc.

THE Antiseptic Baby and the Prophylactic Pup
Were playing in the garden when the Bunny gamboled up;
They looked upon the Creature with a loathing undisguised;—
It wasn't Disinfected and it wasn't Sterilized.

They said it was a Microbe and a Hotbed of Disease; 5
They steamed it in a vapor of a thousand-odd degrees;
They froze it in a freezer that was cold as Banished Hope
And washed it in permanganate with carbolated soap.

In sulphurated hydrogen they steeped its wiggly ears;
They trimmed its frisky whiskers with a pair of hard-boiled shears; 10
They donned their rubber mittens and they took it by the hand
And elected it a member of the Fumigated Band.

There's not a Micrococcus in the garden where they play;
They bathe in pure iodoform a dozen times a day;
And each imbibes his rations from a Hygienic Cup— 15
The Bunny and the Baby and the Prophylactic Pup.

I thought silent spring was just liberal tree hugging BS??

Actually that is the benefits of gmos is that you can have them resist very specific pest. The use of gmo crops has significantly reduced the amount and type of pesticides used. Not saying that are perfect but there are benefits to there use. The entire "frankenfood" propaganda is pretty much all BS and not backed by good science.

:icon_scratch: See, there ya go again, talking over the cats vocabulary.
In my world, I really have no clue what left wing, right wing, liberal, conservative, means, as the meanings and connotations have changed over time. We did have a guy in the news paper today for humping a wooden door, could he be called a tree hugger? :laughing7:

I don't watch much tv, hardly any, nor listen to radio, Rush, or any of those guys. I don't follow anyone, so, whatever category or term you may wish to create to tag me with, how can your view be considered true, when you don't even know me? But, I do like the way you attempt to infer, with questions.

I'll give you, that there can be good come from genetic modifications. Man has been doing it (on small scale) for centuries. It's more, the vanity of these companies, to consider they are the "food creation gods", and that THEY know EVERYTHING about what they are doing. How many times, have we seen in science that, that is not the case? I'm almost sure 10 to 20 years from now, they'll be apologizing.

Just joking about that part.

I have to guess that you still believe in the tooth fairy, too?
