Oregon, crows also can (as a lot of people already know) talk quite clearly. A friend and I were at the Ft. Worth, Texas, zoo one day, in about 1960. He was smoking a cigarette. When we passed by the crow exhibit, the crows kept looking at us like they wanted us to give them a morsel of food. Doug, flipped his cig butt into the cage. One of the crows picked it up with his beak, and of course got burned. He flew into the wire screen screaming at us and flapping his wings. Then he broke into a string of curses that really surprised me! He was calling us sons of bit**es, and the 'mf' words. We made a hasty retreat away from the cage! I had always heard that a crow could be taught to talk if you split it's tongue. Not so, as I later read somewhere. Yes, they are very intelligent and can learn to talk just by hearing people talking. How that one learned to 'curse like a sailor', I don't know. I can't remember what all he said, but we heard several curse phrases from him.
That's cool! I wsa told they can tell the difference between a gun and a walking stick.
I now what the are really good at...
Making one hell of a lot of noise, from the old growth spruce tree behind my place.
Way to early in the morning!

Very interesting. I have always imagined them crushing beer cans on their foreheads!
So what do they do with all the beer bottles?:icon_scratch:

That's a myth.... "them crushing beer cans on their foreheads!"
They write messages, insert into bottle, cork the bottle and toss into waterways. Everyone knows that!!!!

Red...."But who turns them in? A question that will remain a mystery." NOW YOU KNOW!!!!

I think I saw you two (RED and VIKING) in a movie once called.... Dumb & Dumber. If we 3 ever got together it would be Dumb & Dumber & Dumbest.

What has lived on the planet the longest. One might think the roach, but he has been here only 280 million years. The dragonfly has been here 320 Million years.
There are 3,000 species of roaches and they are one of the fastest runners.
The dragonfly can spot an insect 60' away and fly 60 MPH.
Hay, I love to watch them in my yard when they are flying on patroll. Frank...-

Roaches can also fly but prefer not to,roaches also jump..Pheasants are the same way, they'll run to avoid a hunter.

Oh what a sheltered life you lead RJC. I can instantly tell you've never been to the south, and definitely never to New Orleans.

Grew up there. Yes, cockroaches (the big ones) can and do fly ... and they ain't shy about it either.

If you don't know weather the dishwasher was ran or run...look on the tops of the glasses (actually the bottom 'cause they are up side down..) and look for pooling (water)
