Have a nice day detecting planned, now skywarn saying spotters will most likely be activated today here in Michigan, yeah it is voluntary, but still very important, possible PDS conditions late afternoon tonight..were things go bump in the night, friggin just repaired my skylights from that killer hail a few weeks back..grr heh.
forecast
THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE MORNING, BUT STORMS
ARE LIKELY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING, AND SOME COULD BE
SEVERE. WIND GUSTS AROUND 60 MPH AND HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE THE
PRIMARY HAZARDS IN THE STRONGEST STORMS, BUT 1 INCH HAIL IS ALSO
POSSIBLE. IN ADDITION, THERE IS SOME POTENTIAL FOR A TORNADO TO
OCCUR. STORM MOTION WILL BE SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH WITH
THE MAIN WINDOW OF ACTIVITY BETWEEN 2 PM AND 10 PM.

LOW PRESSURE MOVING FROM CENTRAL WISCONSIN TODAY THROUGH THE
EASTERN UPPER PENINSULA TONIGHT WILL PRODUCE A STRONG FLOW OF WARM
AND HUMID AIR INTO THE REGION ON GUSTY SOUTHWEST WIND. THIS AIR
WILL SUPPORT THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT DURING THE WARMEST PART OF
THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE STRONG WIND PATTERN WILL ALSO MAKE
STORMS MORE LIKELY TO ORGANIZE ENOUGH TO PRODUCE SEVERE WEATHER.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

DISPATCHERS PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR EMERGENCY MANAGERS IMMEDIATELY. SPOTTER
ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
