That must be one stubborn, or 'stupid' dog to end up with that many quills.

If your dog has some quills, there hollow, so snip off the ends, and using two hypodermic needles, one to inject a drop of vinigar into each quill. Not too much, you don't want it flowing down the quill onto the dog, and after two or three minutes, the other to inject some light oil 'nazoil' or the like from a drugstore, onto the quills (around the base), and they will pop right out, with virtually no pain to the dog.. The dog in 'that' picture looks like a pitbull, so it might be best to knock that one out completely first.. ;D

thats a pit bull for ya---what ya don't know is he most likely took all the quills off the porky then ate him!! they don't like to lose a fight those pit bulls they would rather die then lose a fight--which is why some sickos dog fight em sadly---stubborn is their middle name---lotta heart those dogs don't know the meaning of the word quit, that had to really, really hurt ---plus I wouldn't want to be the person who has to remove the quills from him because their barbed and he ain't going to be a happy camper. Male porcupines may give vent to the occasional scream as well, but it's from frustration, not pain: the female is only sexually receptive 8-12 hours per year.

I know what that's like............

i seen this pic before, i wonder if the dog survived?

I wonder if the porcupine survived, it was probably just minding its own business when the dog showed up and got tough with it. There is nothing more appealing than a baby porcupine - I like them!! The one that got that dog was undoubtedly a very savvy older male.

I'll bet that dog won't be greeting his friends in the "usual" fashion for a while
