Boy ! that brings back memories Many Many years ago When Rhinegold Beer was still produced in Brooklyn ever Christmas Eve they ran a 30 minute movie very similar to this ad , It involved the same concept except both groups met in a small church for the midnight mass , they sang Slient Night and then exchanged small token gifts , talked and shared some food ---- Next day they returned to their trenchs and began killing one another again.

Funny I guess but in todays PC day and age they couldnt have them meeting in a church ect or such

In case you missed it, the song at the end is "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms". During WWII there persists a story about the time of the Battle of the Bulge a group of GI's and a group of Germans entered the same farmhouse at the same time. The lady of the house apparently yelled them out of killing each other, they had dinner, then left again....
