Here is snapshot of Today's Finds Forum for June 14, 1997, earliest one I could find that allowed actual view of forum threads..There are dates back to Dec 1996 that are snapshots of the forum index, but couldn't find snapshot of actual threads....

Sorry ! No idea any more.

Marc may be the only one who can supply that info

The original 1995 info was all lost in a Crash.

so Join Dates on Profile only start after the Crash

also Back when I first posted on TreasureNet I did it from the Library & legit Signup info was not needed , As I didn't have an Email address of My own,
I used to type in fake emails like , [email protected] & use my full name here.
I think Once things picked up & to cut down on Trolls Logging in became necessary

Marc had the # 2 spot

the year they actually signed up here was lost with the crash, But...

First 10 Official Members in order of sign-up

First Member received #3 Spot & was

Sorry ! No idea any more.

I know Dell Winders was one of the first members .
I think #3 (second Member) but not absolutely sure on the number.

Marc may be the only one who can supply that info

Come on Jeff your just humble, your in the first 50 I'm sure...

as Jeff of Pa I am member 262

as I said, before that I was under my own full name ,
which I can't find in the files.
So I'm guessing not an Official Signed up Member.
but would have been 1996/1998 somewhere to learn all I could about Minelab's
before Buying my Sovereign in 1998-1999.
I spent a Good year or more researching,
Then bought from Kellyco through their Lay-away

I do know back then you didn't need a legit Email.
I used to type in things like, [email protected]
and [email protected] and my post would work.

I've only had my own legit Email address & Computer since the turn of the Century.
but after the site crashed, all original dates were lost.
and Dec 2003 sounds right or at least close to when I got a computer.

As I'm keen on nostalgia, this is pretty interesting.

Jeff, thanks for digging that stuff up!

Wow you were lucky to even get a response back then, I'm sure for a few reasons like lake of Internet. This site has evolved a lot for all of our benefit. Thanks Jeff & TH for the history.

I joined up within the first 3 months of owning my first computer, ever. I didn't even have a cell phone until 2001.
Happy Birthday Treasurenet.

**Special thanks to Marc, Tnet's original brainchild**

Most infamous member hat goes to Pete/Free/Little Bird/Free2Detect/UnknownDetectorist/Zumbrokid and any other alias he may have used.

Honorary greatest "what is it" identifier winner goes to my old tnet friend PBK.
