Study Claims People Who Like Their Coffee Black Are More Likely To Have Psychopathic Tendencies | IFLScience
How’d you take your coffee? According to new research, people who like it strong and black are more likely to have psychopathic tendencies. While interesting, we should take this study with a grain of salt and tread carefully when interpreting the findings. Looking at the taste preferences of 500 people, it was found that those who enjoyed bitter flavors over sweet flavors were more likely to exhibit signs of “Machiavellianism, psychopathy, narcissism, and everyday sadism.” The study, which was published in the journal Appetite, was conducted at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, by psychologists Christina Sagioglou and Tobias Greitemeyer
Study has been Debunked.... but I still may be crazy
A new study looks at American taste preferences and found that people whose tastes tend towards the bitter—particularly black coffee, radishes, beer, and celery—were also more likely to score higher on tests measuring traits in the “Dark Triad”: psychopathy, narcissism, and Machiavellianism, as well as “everyday sadism”.
Machiavellianism and everyday sadism sounds fun
