Yup it's still winter.

Being from the frigid and snowy mid-west, I can not truly appreciate the picture right now, BUT, as soon as summer rolls around I will look at it again and be jealous of the view you have.

Folks,

Thought I'd post up a picture of a Hudson Bay fur trade rifle. Note the serpent sideplate which pretty much matches the one that made banner recently by a Canadian member.

Folks,

Here's a 7th century gold cross found in the UK with a metal detector.

Alright first time trying to post a picture, hope it works. Tonight's working conditions, 12 degrees and got about a half inch of snow, but our makeshift tent is making it bareable! Gotta love the night shift!

update i cleaned the dirt off the front of the 1910 i think i see part of a S i'm so excited and it has AU details

Gold Boy,

try a dremel and a circular brush as on the photo below with lowest speed and only steel brushes! On such encrustations you get good results but be careful.
Don´t put the brush flat on the coin but with a 45 degrees angle and without much pressure.
On low speed the encrustations go before the patina will be harmed! Try first on some crude coins to get experience!
Also scalpel cleaned coins can be polished on that way as a finish.
