I have some Italian connections courtesy of family marriages. I remember when one of my nephews got married it was a 5 course meal with wine flowing freely. Then the open bar and Modesto the father in law standing at the bar peeling off bills to cover off on the after dinner drinks.

Around midnight they rolled out another round of cheese, fruit, pizza, etc....I thought I would burst.

Now my nephews son is getting married this coming June and I'm sure a similar feast is in store.

In any event if you haven't tried it well worth having some farinata it's made from chickpea/garbanzo bean flour and comes from the Genoa area of Italy.

mmmm looks good and yes i'm all too familiar with the endless meals being served. Seems almost every Italian family also has several Aunts with all the same name - aunt Rose, aunt Camille, and aunt Josephine. Then there are the giant bowl of plastic grapes that decorated the center of every Italian kitchen table.

I would have bought that book at a thrift store or yard sale...

heck I may even pay 1 dollar as opposed to 50 cents.

For that price... I will go to Home depot and stand at the concrete pallets and wait for some dude with long hair and a beard covered in concrete dust to walk up...

    And will we discuss things.

    AARC,

I like the way you think....lol. We were at home depot several years ago and looking at the various types of specialized cement mixes.
Lots of options...we have a carport and the foundation is supported by those hollow concrete blocks and the grouting was crumbling.

Sure enough a fellow with work clothes and dust all over himself is in the same area obviously not an employee....I ask him what he recommends for the job he points to a tub of some product or other and says use that....he says he uses that blend all the time to repair swimming pools....lol.

    Regards + HH
