Yep.. Long time plate collector having worked in salvage yards half my life. These are a small sampling. The NHBandit plates of course, were mine. The See-U plate was on a Corvette I owned and the HBFD plate was from the Fire Chiefs car at Hampton Beach NH. My grandfather was the chief for many years. Also got all 50 states, most of Canada, some US territories and one Indian reservation plate.

My seven year old keeps a list in the car of all fifty states, and marks off all the state plates that she's seen. There are six remaining, and she's seen Alaska and Hawaii. There's also the seven Canadian Provinces, she's got three of those. Here in Pennsylvania we only need the rear plate so people can have anything in the front. Sometimes people will have authentic plates from other countries, and she's been keeping track of those too. We go online to confirm authenticity, since we've never seen most of them before and she doesn't want any fake ones on her list!

Tennessee is the same as PA. Any plate you want on the front. On my 67 Camaro I have a current Tennessee antique plate on the back & a 1967 NH plate on the front. It's also caused me to meet a few people who are from NH when I've taken the car to shows here in Tennessee.

Reminds me of when Indiana introduced personalized plates. Dad wanted one for his 64 Vette. He put together a list of Vette related phrases. He got to the branch when it opened on the first day to order plates. Of course so did hundreds of others around the state. All his Vette names were taken. His next choice was OMNI, meaning everything. He got it.

Before he even got the plate Dodge announced the introduction of the Omni car.

My mom had a Plymouth Horizon for many years, purchased new. Behind the rear doors but before the hatchback, on that four or five inch wide strip of metal, she had installed the Trans-Am logo on both sides of the car. She drove that car like a sports car. We both loved that car. Dad kept it fine condition. Good times.

Am I the only one who sees a lot of these? Today alone I have three personalized plates that I got pics of, five yesterday, and six the day before.
