....A now departed aquaintance had a "hobby" of fixing jukeboxes in his pre-great depression youth. The great depression made him a rich man as his rebuilt machines and penchant to keep others running was the most lucrative money maker ! When folks had little , a nickel could buy a reprieve , a musical vacation to chase away the darkness .
My Grandfather was one of the first auto dismantlers, selling parts not only to keep your heap on the road but to put food on the table.....when folks had no money , he would accept barter. Grand Dad brought to the industry the first handwritten interchange books. Dad too was an auto dismantler with the same credo and in fact brought the "Squawk Box" to the industry in lieu of the teletype .
Making things last is a foreign concept to this (currently) disposable society and we pay and pay .... don't want to get kicked to political discussions but most on here see it happening ....
You have a great concept of what needs to be done . Markets will change , values will fluctuate and time will run short. Do it with style and aplomb as those before you !
Best to you,
Mark.
