Here's a pic to the south of you (SE Tx). The boot tops you see belong to the wife. Husband's boots are MIA. *lol*

Said they'd been getting rain about every 3rd day since early Dec.

Another friend in Centerville says they're also up to their necks in mud.

Ah, what a stimulating conversationalist I am. Guess next I can talk about broken water pipes. spaz.gif

Keith, Your still alive.

That's what YOU think! :protest:

This has easily been my most difficult winter -- and that's just with the old, breaking bones.

Had a few nice "light-snowfall" seasons, but this year isn't one of them. Brought the wife home about a week ago from the hospital....in the middle of a blizzard. Just a 200-mile trip each way. She's doing better now, but I might have to check myself in next. :BangHead:

I'M READY FOR SKEETER SEASON!!

Had originally put 300 miles. Seems I can't count this morning, either. :-\

I was going through pictures I've taken on the many years of being a peddler on the road. It'll take a few post to show some I've selected.

The last couple are in the area of the original trans continental RR finished in1869. What's left is the old grade. It seem at one time it was used as a back road by ranchers for modern vehicles. Along it I see a mile post sign and looking in to the places on the sign I looked them up and they're all ghost towns now that pretty much existed to support the old RR. The old grade being used as a road is also overgrown and no longer used. I wish I had the time to walk miles of it in hopes of finding an original mid 19th century telegraph glass insulator as those are worth big bucks to insulator collectors.

Anyone looking for a slightly used race car ?
That happens just about every other day here on the freeways of Denver. I've not been in one, but I've been stuck behind them for hours.

That's the nice thing about living in the middle of nowhere -- we can sometimes go 40 miles before meeting another vehicle, and that's daytime. There's virtually no traffic at night up here.

As far as Nascar goes, I'd rather watch a dead tractor rust into the earth.

That train seems to have the same affliction as my tractor.

If you see that lever track switch there, we had those in the mine I worked. We did a lot of switching of rail carriage concrete mixers and I could lift that lever by hooking it with the front of my ankle and turn quickly around and stomp it in to the next position all with one leg. I was young then and moved like a jack rabbit around that mine.

If I tried that, with my luck I'd lose a boot.

Hey Grant, found some videos the other day that you might like. They're about trains, but just a wee bit smaller than the one you posted. There's 2 parts; one going clockwise and another going counter-clockwise. Both were nice videos.

Happy to hear your darlings doing fine, You hang in there buddy, winter does go away. Pretty dang cold here this morning and the forecast ahead for the week in the Rocky's, made me change my plans to go the far west end of central Nevada this week, so I bumped that trip up to next week. By then this cold ass mass should be in your neck of the woods

I am not sure if you have sought therapy for yourself yet,,, but if not... i suggest you do.

Personally... i am a firm believer of "mind over matter" FOR ONLY YOU are truly the master of you own mind.

IF you are not in control... then you have a problem that needs medical attention.

Here's the thing.
Prayers are all that I have.
I did my decades of psychotropic drugs.
Nope.
No.
Nein.. Nyet.
I'll never take mind drugs again.

If anyone tries to make me take drugs.
I'll let my protector rip them apart.

Therapy mode ehh.. The thread says anything...
I'll f@ck off now.
Bye...
