Do our strengths balance out our weaknesses?
I feel lost in that my wife is sick and needs my help.
I'm sick too, in a different way and it is getting worse.
Self-preservation kicks in and stops me from helping myself.
I don't know where to turn.
Every step I take is a dead end.
So how do I remedy the situation?
I cannot.
Stuck between a hard place and a hard place.
Why... Why does that bottle of cognac sit there on my desk?
To remind me that I am stronger than my demons.
I can defeat alcoholism, but I can't defeat myself in order to save my life.
Sometimes I wish that I didn't seek out help with the things that I don't understand about myself.
Who wants to be sick?
