Not brand new but a 2005 Blueridge BR-163 in excellent condition w/hard case. For this, I traded a 1983 Remington model 1100 12 gauge, glossy finish standard shotgun w/2 3/4" chamber and 26" imp. cyl. VR barrel in excellent condition as well--possibly never fired. The guitar has a very good sound. It was made in May of 2005 according to the serial number. The gun was worth around $350-$400. You can buy a new Blueridge guitar like this (Model BR-163) from the Guitar Center now for $711 + tax. Here's a few of it's notable features I'll cut and paste from an internet ad:

Select solid Sitka spruce top with hand-carved parabolic top braces in authentic pre-war forward X-pattern
Solid, Select Indian rosewood back and sides
Delicate herringbone top inlay and back center stripe
White binding
000 body style with a 14th-fret body joint
Dovetail neck joint
Slim mahogany neck has adjustable truss rod and
Rosewood bridge and bridge plate
Rosewood peghead overlay adorned with a unique mother-of-pearl and abalone design
Dalmatian style pickguard
Natural high-gloss finish with aging toner for perfect vintage look
Accurate vintage-style 14:1 ratio nickel-plated open-back tuners with butterbean-style buttons

I'm not a musician, but can certainly appreciate fine craftsmanship, and your guitar seems to have it in spades. Congrats!

That is a beauty! Thoink you did alright on the trade.
About a dozen years ago guy at work wanted to sell an old Blueridge to my brother for a hundred bucks. He didn't have the money but brought it home to let me see it. It had a crack in it but still was the most beautiful sounding standard I ever heard. I checked the guitar forums and everyone ,including guys who did studio work, said buy a Blueridge if you can't afford a Martin as only a professional could tell the difference in sound. But I was sold anyway.
Last I heard people were complaining about Martin quality slipping but I really don't know if that was true.

My last purchase was a MIM Jazzmaster. It cam with no case or whammy bar so I talked the owner down 10%. Very dark sounding. It’s loaned to a friend. He’s digging it.
