Ah yes......the machineel......we catch and eat land crabs sometimes in sept. And Oct. When you catch them you put them in a pen and feed them lettuce and table scraps for a week so they can purge any poison that they get from eating the death apples. This whole little area I'm hunting has many manchineel and poison woods. Add in some black widows and coral snakes and it can get scary digging in the leaf litter. Have to clear the leaf litter just to see the ground before you can dig. Just stirring up this leaf litter dust can get you, the dust sticks to your sweat and the itching and blisters start. The mosquitos also drove me out a couple times already. They seem to be gone right now.... thank the lord.

Granddaughter is doing ok.
She is supposed to get the pins out of her arm in 2 weeks when the ortho Dr. gets back.
She's 3 and fearless, runs & climbs, gives her mom heart failure at times.

Glad your nephew is doing good.

I'm going to assume that it is from a Ship.
Looks brass.
Weighs about ten pounds or so.

BC's curb fishing tip of the day..
1. Find overpriced estate sale.
2
Find out that areas garbage day.
3 visit their curb early AM their next garbage day.

Treasure!!

Another tip.. estate sales are good, but moving sales are the best way that I have discovered for gaining permission to detect yards!
Let's face it, it takes some big bowling balls to knock on a stranger's door..the sale makes walking up way easier.

Bart, I'd play it safe and get to a doctor asap and get professional treatment before it gets out of control buddy.

The Family Ferrari did/does have an attitude. I use to work for a gentleman who had married into the Ferrari family. All I can say is "Poor guy".

From what I gathered, the movie being released in the U.K. is called Le Mans 66 and the version being released on November 15th in the U.S. will be called Ford vs Ferrari. :dontknow:
