Well depending on who's stats are correct the death rate seems to be between 1% and 3.5% of those infected.

So no big reason to get to paranoid, however, I've taken a hit of about $25,000 over the last week with the stock market getting hammered. So people are panicking big time.

So lots of good food for you and yours and keep eating garlic and other anti oxidant foods to keep the immune system strong. Not a bad idea to stock up on some extra non perishable food items in case things get bad down the road.

If I get to the point of being penniless I'll head to Kentucky and crash with you folks.....

All kidding aside I don't take this stuff to seriously I've got some decent pension money coming in, debt free and a pretty basic lifestyle. Also our pantry is well stocked and if people panic and start emptying the shelves at the local super markets we can keep eating well for a long time.

again,...... the host asks him to choose,.. the pirate says, "Aye",.....
the asks,..." are there any I's on the board?",...... and by chance, there are two I's,....
the pirate spins again,.......


That's kinda as far I have gotten with that joke

The pirate tries to use R again, and it's no way,.... he tries to use I again, and no way,......

I ran out of pirate words that sound like letters.

The subject of wall street came up here once before,......

I mentioned a young guy that works in the same building as I do,.....

We have every break and lunch together talking.
He became interested in the stock market, checked on it, and studied it every day,......

Every morning I check the top news stories,..... it's fresh in my mind at 9:00am break.

He tells me this,... he tells me that,..... goes on every day.

Then it became obvious,.. "the market was responding to the top news stories"

Easy to prove,..... only two went sideways, and "Everyone" said, WTF.


Now watch this,.......

Elon Musk smokes a joint during an interview,...... stock takes a drop,....

Boeing,.....dear Lord,..... you see what I mean.
every time their name came up, their stock dropped even lower.

Boeing,.... the gift that keeps on giving,.....

Uber,... this, and that, negative news,... again, down goes the stock,........

Recalled meat, sold only at,........


He does Option Trading.

You can bet up or down,.... (put or call).

So, there are so many screw ups, big screw ups, and media spreads at the speed
of sound, and the information goes global,.........


It goes the other way too,..... for instance,... the company working to crack the
corona virus by mapping it's DNA,... if they are a public company, have shares,...

Just them jumping in and getting down to work on it,... just that, makes a bump up.


So,...... much of the stock market is, by my observation, "Media Driven".


This young guy has been doing trading for over a year now.

He is well ahead, others do much better of course, they invest more money.
He makes $15.00 an hr. So on his small budget being ahead $800.00 is a good sign.

Media doing what they do . Drives me nuts. We rode it out in 2008. An elderly couple we know took the advice of their financial advisor and closed everything at a huge loss. They had to sell their house and move in with their daughter and son-in-law. They would have recovered everything and then some if they rode it out. It's cyclic. Part of the game.
