I must say the writer of the article is a master of prose.
I think the Spanish were very good at training stallions. But stallions are generally not to be trifled with, although any horsec can bite if provoked.
Guess the lesson here is don't put a stallion in accomodations which he feels are beneath him, and whack him with a whip as well.
