Well if its a cost issue, then why even bother to coat them with copper?? Why not just leave them steel...or just do away with them completely??

I thought the same thing when I first read it.
What happens when that little bit of copper
brings it over it's value ?
may as well do without it now.

WW2's were Zinc Coated, why not that if steel needs a coating ?

I think the Feds should make refrigerators illegal and then make all coins out off ice.

This would go a long way to encourage compulsive buying. Well, at least in the south.
