New cars for sale cheap [slight water damage]
First glimpse inside a sunken cargo ship: 400ft anchor chain slices through the Golden Ray to reveal 4,200 Hyundai cars not seen since the vessel capsized last September off Brunswick, Georgia
- The Golden Ray capsized near the Port of Brunswick in September 2019, with 4,000 cars onboard
- Engineers are finally demolishing the boat, using an anchor chain to saw it into eight sections
- A giant floating crane is lifting up parts of the dismantled ship before they will be taken to Gulf coast

This video explains the process a lot better than the news outlet's report.
The 7:00 mark it shows the cutting wire that they constructed.
14:30 of the Video states "The incredible job the cutting wire did"
Not an actor chain as the media stated. Geez-back to journalist school "101"

Hundreds if not thousands of cars from Hurricane Katrina ended up north into Ontario.
The chop shops detailed them/switched VIN# with a salvaged vehicle and sold them in the car lots around the GTA.
My scrap yard was right beside these "Car detailers" better known as chop shops.
Cameras were busy busy at night 3 cars in 1 pick up car out-repeated many times a night.
First big bust-6 agencies 26 business closed-13 didn't even have a licence-2 grow ops.-around 300 cars towed from the surrounding buildings. Oh ya 1 church operating without a right permit/licence-money counter machine like the casinos have carried out.
Bad cars-big money

Yeah, I figured it must have been something more like a diamond studded cutting wire rather than a friggin anchor chain.
Dailymail in particular excels at photographs but not so much so with journalism.

The market for them will be flooded !
I drove one of those for a few days as a rental while my old 2001 Ram was getting the trans rebuilt, pretty nice car.
[Nice to hear there were no fatalities, I assumed some must have perished]

It was good to hear in the video that a certificate of destruction had to be issued for the cars that were recycled.
I bought a new 2000 XG300 Sedan for the Mrs and she drove it trouble free for 7 yrs and then sold it to the guy that bought the company and he drove it for another 3yrs before buying a new vehicle. It was the introduction into the bigger luxury style car market. To compete with the Buick, Lincolns and they did a pretty good job for the base price.
