About half of a 1936 Ford Pickup that had been buried in 1983 when the river came up over the dike.
Took several days to find all the pieces, Most of them had been in the back of the bed,
when high water hit they were scattered.
When the water went down they were buried under silt.

I have dug up numerous rr rails out in the woods from the logging era. The heaviest item that I carried out was a ratchet pulley from a Barnhart log loader. It weighed 60 lbs. and I had to carry it a mile to my truck.

I would say yours is probably quite a bit older than 1901.
Yea plehbah!!!! You are absolutely right. This was found at the famous cattle pens on the Chisholm Trail. Dates around 1880 to 1890. We must be related, I usualy get it right to when there is no prize also.
