I am going to tell you that Burdie got a little carried away in Bama....
He heard there was some really good stuff in the ground here & he didn't want to take a chance on missing anything. And I think ol' Nana is almost in over her head!

Good Lord I ate Auburn pancakes, Auburn possum stew, and had to sleep on an Auburn pillow. I walked in on Charlie and he has an A tattooed on his behind. It is a good thing he is one of the nices guys you would ever want to meet.
Hope they recover from our stay. Nana I just love ya and that is all I will say about that. (Forrest Gump)

We arrived in Savannah at 5:00 PM in a driving rain storm. It has stopped raining and we plan to take a walk in the old district. Will take pictures. Will post again tonight.

Just for the record..... he did not and I do not! Butt But it was a funny line!
Glad you made it... good thing you figured out how to get out of that endless loop I programmed into your TOMTOM. I think Burdie got suspicious after the 34th time pulling into my driveway hearing "You have arrived at your destination!". I think Burdie was originally thinking Groundhog day.

    Stan and Vicki,
I just want to tell ya'll how great it was to meet, detect and dine with you. I really had a great time. As you surmised I'm sure, summer is not the best time to detect (or anything else but swim) in Dixie. I hope ya'll will come back sometime in the fall, winter or early spring.
Ya'll have a safe and fun trip now, ya hear!

Diggerbug it was ALL my pleasure. Vicki and I felt like we were getting together with family. What a riot it was. Bless each and everyone of you. I made fun about leaving but the truth was I just hated to leave. OH yes I can't wait to go by me a pair of shoes. I laughed just going down the road. Your husband is a riot.

Stan, love the pics. Glad you all are safe and enjoying the trip. Guess I'm gonna have to put the Jeep back together and head up to Caldwell and see what in the world is going on. Looking forward to more pics and info on your and Vicki's trip. 8)

Our last stop was at Lady and sons. A buffet style. It was Paula Dean's second location. Great food. Well I will post later on about Historic places.
