Why not share the stories amigo? What is the worst that can happen? You won't look any more foolish than I do, unless of course you are a PBJ reborn, which would be just a little tough to accept. (In some cases however it is readily apparent! :o ::) ;D :D)

Hola, To you, amigo.
Here is a short note on that post about Bridy Murphey. Something I accidently left out. This
Bridy Murphy was the name of the woman that lived in the earlier life. It was her name that kept
comming to mind in the modern day woman. She seemed to remember certain addresses and buildings
that she could describe to a T. It was later, under hypnosis, that she could give more details.
She had never been to the place she had described. Through alot of investigation they found out
that this Bridy Murphy person had actually lived and had frequented the buildings the lady seemed
to recall. So many things proved out to be correct that it left you wondering; Could there be
something to this reincarnation thing?

I remember the Bridey Murphy happening back in the 70s or so. I even bought the book. Very interesting. Sounds as reasonable as other explanations these days. Nothing that can be proven, however. But interesting. =Noodle

Surely you jest, PBJ is not limited to those two types of jellies after all - the correct jelly is mixed fruit... ::) ;D :D

Do either of you recall the title of the book? I think it would be interesting reading, and thank you in advance,

"The Search For Bridey Murphy" by Morey Bernstein

This is another good one:
"Across Time And Death: A Mother's Search For Her Past Life Children" by Jenny Cockell, also published under the name, "Yesterday's Children." This one is fairly contemporary.

Jenny Cockell had memories of a time in Ireland in the 30s (?), from the time she was small. The main thing was her worry about her children she'd left behind when she died (in Ireland). Years later, she was able to find the town, and her children from that time, now grown and in their 60s. It's really interesting. They also made a movie called "Yesterday's Children" starring Jane Seymour

Hola Oro,

i have joined as you suggested i should, this is just a cut and paste from the email i sent you,

i think Angel might be correct with the memory gene, it would explain a few things, my own dream is more historic than something in the future,
the scenery is the same but the characters change,

it's a large house possibly a manor house, and I'm a stable boy about 14 yrs old, i can see the way they are dressed and have placed it at about 1750 to1800 by the style of clothing,

it has varied from a group of riders dismounting talking amongst them selves and giving the reins to me or the farrier, in others just one or two riders up to a coach and horses, not a heavy coach the light four wheeled kind used by the family or lady of the house, and i have had this many many times over the years,

the deja vue i mentioned was describing to my parents the outside of a building including stone steps and railings plus the doors with large iron rivets and a lamp above the doors, i was 5 yrs old at the time this was in Howarth the bronte country, Jane aire and all that, it turned out to be the local church the steps and door being unusual in that the are on the corner of the building rather than the side or end,
my father was originally from around this area, but at that time we lived in Birmingham about 125 miles away he had gone there for work before WW2 during the depression and had married a girl from Birmingham and this was the first time they had come back to the area,
although we moved back up this way later when i was 9,

this is slightly off topic,

the ghost story was told to me and my sister by my father when i was about 12 or 13 yrs old,

he had gone out for a drink with some of his friends one Christmas eve he was in his early 20's afterwards he and one of his mates went back to a friends house this was a farm out in the country a few miles walk, for a few jars of home made beer,
on the way home about 1 in the morning after leaving the farm they were walking up a steep hill and over the brow came a coach and horses, this was the old type royal mail coach, it was all white and he said he could clearly see the driver and guard on top along with various bits of luggage, everthing a pale white,
he flattened himself against the wall as did his mate , both shocked and somewhat frightened, it went past the at a gallop and disappeared down the hill, and then vanished from view at the bottom,

of course at that time me and my sister laughed and had him on about it, and it was a family joke for many years , until one year about a week after Christmas our local paper which was published once a week had a story in, by this time i was nearly 21 yrs old,
on Christmas eve a 12 yr old girl who lived not more than a mile away from where my father had seen the apparition, had been given a bike for a Christmas present and its hard to hide something that size, on Christmas eve despite it being dark she persuaded her parents to let her have the bike and take it for a ride, so with the lamps on she set out along the top road , half an hour later she came screaming back into the house terrified and splashed with mud, after they had managed to calm her down she told them as she was cycling along on the top road she stopped dead as there coming towards her was a coach and horses, all white and just as my father described many years before, in a blind panic she dropped the bike and fled home across the fields, at that the family went out and went on the road where she had seen the coach, by this time there was nothing there but they found he bike laying in a ditch undamaged just where she had dropped it,

the following week a local historian added the following information in a letter to the editor that at some time in the 1800's that road was part of the turnpike road and the Manchester to York mail coach used it making the trip every day, one Christmas eve one year it had failed to slow going down the hill the road being icy and had missed the bend at the bottom and gone over the edge into a stream which was swollen after very heavy rain into a raging torrent as it is part of the watershed from the moors, in the summer just 6 to 10 feet across and barely a foot deep but in winter twice as wide and 4 ft deep running like a mill race, and the coach was smashed and washed away with no survivors,

I can't think of any particular time that I've had a memory or anything from a past life. However, I've always been interested in the ideas about reincarnation. There is still so much unknown in physics, nature, the universe, what have you that I don't dismiss the idea.

I've been told by people that I have an "old soul" and I've said myself that I felt that I was born about 60 years too late.

Hello Oro and gang,
I have had a nagging feeling that I have lived sometime in the 1800's. Where and when, I'm just not sure. I " think " that I can see 2 lives, one as a old black blues player somewhere in the south during the early 1900's. The other somewhere out west in the 1800's. In neither of these was I a man of importance just another Joe trying to eke out a living. When i listen to old blues there is something that just simply takes over and some weird memories come in like a jam session with dear old friends with lots of laughter and happy times ( and o yeah we were drinking ;D ;D ;D ). In the 1800's there is just alot of traveling has to be out west with the dust and all. But there are times of relaxation. For some odd reason I see a store that I work in ( not own ), but this store has nothing for the ladies ( dresses fabric etc ) so I assume it's a mining town or just a frontier post, maybe even a stage stop. I don't live long, but I also don't remember dying so I assume that it was quick. The blues guy lived a long poor but happy life. Then again maybe I watch to many movies lol....

I was told that by a very old friend when I was about 13 or 14 years old.
I can't explain it, I just know things.
Whether by acquired Knowledge or by genetic memory I don't know.
I am sure we have all experienced this at one time or another.

Hi Thom

I've been to places that seemed familiar even though have never been there before,
but not to the depth of remembering anything about them just a feeling,

NAN,
re your Jenny Cockell story, this was featured on TV over here, it was a BBC show where they had asked people who remembered a former life to appear on, she told about the family and the kids she remembered,
she lived in Coventry a Town in the midlands of England,
she had vivid memories of her past, on the show she showed a drg she had made of the roads and a lot of the houses in a village, she had spent nine years trying to find a match to the layout of the roads in ordnance survey maps but with no luck,

at that time she didn't know it was ireland, after the show the TV company put people on to research it they found the map matched a village in Ireland, she went over there with a film crew and spent some time driving round the place, eventually she told the driver to stop saying the cottage she remembered living in was on that road at the bend they had stopped on, but there was nothing there looking over the hedge into a field they saw it was overgrown with brambles and bushes,
crawling through the hedge they found the remains of a cottage just a couple of feet of the walls remaining,
going back to the village they made enquiries as to who had lived there, and after asking a few people found out the family name, this led to 7 people all in their 60 to 70's, who were still alive out of the 11 children she remembered,
she was if i remember correctly in her 40's

they were sceptical to say the least, but as they started talking she told them things that had happened when they were young and interupted when they started talking and finished off the story for them she knew so much even to little things that had happened when they were kids,
they also asked her very pointed questions that only they and their mother would have known the answer to,

she spent a few days with them after wards all of them said yes they now believed she had been their mother in a previous life, as only their mother would have known the answer to the questions they put to her,

When I was 75 I had been to doctors and specialists, going downhill fast. I had lost sixty pounds. My oxygen level has always read max 100, my blood was ok, food was something I had to force down. Meat I gagged on.
Then in a dream state, these two men approached me dressed in garments like you see in the pictures of Jesus. I never studied anthing but technical subjects so the two men were strange, I didn't remember the names or had never studied about them. They both greeted me and one had a very low voice, so the other one talked for him, introduced him as Archimedes and explained that he was not a doctor but he knew my problem and had been with my spirit(??)he had some powdered leaves rolled up in paper and he said open your mouth and he dumped that powder in my mouth, it was not a strong taste but he gave me a strange shaped vial or clay vessel of water to wash it down with. He named the plant it was made from and the common name is mountain tobacco, no tobacco taste but it is a drug used today in medicine. Anyhow the one talking was documenting the life of Archimedes. The next morning I woke feeling not better, but great. I went to my books and looked up these names, then I went to the computer and found out even more . I did not ever remember reading about or being told about these people or the chemicals or plants. Does anyone have any idea if this was caused from a life in the past? It is still a mystery to me. That was the only dream I ever had about people of the past.
I did not feel I was fully asleep, like most of my life is to plan and design things in trance type dream.

Wow Gnewt that was a strange experience! Archimedes is one of my personal "heroes" and certainly one of the great geniuses of all time. What is mountain tobacco? Is it related to Silphium? Thank you in advance,

I've been told by people that I have an "old soul" and I've said myself that I felt that I was born about 60 years too late.
==================================================
I remember sitting with a palm-reader that a neighbor had over. My mother & a
girl friend talked me into going. The older lady had my hand & looked up at me
& said, 'oh my honey but you are an old soul'. Being about 19, this made me a little uncomfortable so I asked her what that meant & she said, 'you have been here many
times before'. My only recollections are the inside rooms of what seems to be a castle. Large stone rooms & fireplaces with large pots & huge slabs of meat. It seems to always be poorly lit, damp & chilly with only a few people around. It always gives
me the impression that it was not the best of times. But always just the inside of the
place, possibly medieval times. The other is the life of perhaps an Indian living in a
place of great unbroken forests, perhaps here in the East, with the rivers & the mountains before the white men came. The leggings, the long-houses & hunting
seem so real, but just roaming the forests hunting . But there are no horses . It
seems to be the reason I've always felt comfortable in the woods & seemed to have
some earlier knowledge of wild food, roots & plants & what to do to survive outdoors , but still spent 30 plus years reading & studying about it. It is probably still my favorite interest, yes, even over MD'ing. Something ingrained, perhaps.

The name of this plant species is Arnica, Arnica montana,or mountain arnica, It grows in Northern mountains, US,Can and Europe. (Wolfbane,Leopardbane, etc.)
They use a very dilute tincture , mostly in salve, external, also for internal bleading,
diaphoritic, diuretic and many other things. I don't know the reason for taking it but I suspect it was for kidneys. My Doctor had me see a kidney specialist. He made some tests and made an appointment for some more tests, no prescriptions. I went back 8days later after my trance meeting and had made a remarkable recovery on my
kidney problem, I think that was the problem. I never mentioned this to the doctor.
I think the specialist thought it was a defective test and probably I was OK all along. I found most specialist are closed to all outside info so I do very little talking to them, they are good at what they do.
Archimedes has become my personal hero too, I now read every thing I can on him.
Tesla was and is, also Izaac Newton. I found out Archimedes was far ahead of his time. Thanks for your response and hope I didn't bore the other members. Gnewt
