Oh Heck yeah, Merf!

I was lacquering cabinets most of the day.
Count me in!

Only one of my ventilating fans was operational, the other two have been crashed, and two more are awol.
It was NOT good!

Too bloody hot to wear the respirator... Whew!

And I got maybe 3 more days, or even 4 to go!

...at least I'm workin!

rmptr,

I don't care how hot it is, wear that darn resp. !!
The keytons in the lacquer are very volatile and will cause serious health problems.
PLEASE be careful with that stuff. Things like that are, (I am sure) part of what caused the early sudden death of my older brother Norm.
If you don't have a good mask with filters.
Email me your Addy and I'll send you one and filters to go with it.
Get the fans going too. Those fumes will hang out for days.

Yes, Mike and Thom, of course you are correct.

I would never advise anyone to do as I so foolishly do.

...I can't breathe with the respirator on!

Will improve ventilation today.

I've kept my helpers away from the fumes, though...

At least the product is California Low VOC lacquer!

Didn't have a rough nite, so I must not have gotten much of a dose.

Whew! I'll tell you one to watch out for...
Wallpaper paste.
We once did sanding and prep work on walls that had wallpaper in the past.
Must have gotten a good load of dust...
That nite, the paste set up in my lungs and I was almost headed for the ER.
Oxygen bottle for my acetylene torch still had a bit in it, and that helped me out some.
I REALLY don't like dust, a LOT!

We'll see how it goes today.

Thanks,
rmptr

Yup, the end is near... not so close as we might think though.

That guy Murphy is still following me around!

Took in another fan, it tipped over and lost a blade in the crash. No va.

Figured out the filters were all cattywhompus in my NEW old 1958 Binks respirator.
(It was GOOD deal...$5 at a yardsale!)
Helper had a paper element in one side, nothing in the other!
I took it out and put charcoal in both sides. It helped. Used it most of the day.

LoL!
STILL motored 3 miles down the hi-way, after **** before I figured I maybe could shift the truck into 5th gear! It was a long day. ;D

Here's a pic I found...
Reminded me this paintin' stuff is a heck of a lot easier than when I ****ed as a millwright!
