I don't think you can buy internal parts from any detecting manufacturer plus working on it yourself will also void your warranty.

I agree a private company can do what they want,,,,and as a consumer I can choose to not give them my money when they will not support the people who spent 3000 dollars in 2 detectors with them. I think one of the reasons many MD manufacturers don't sell parts is to discourage people from taking their detectors apart and breaking stuff in the process.

It is threaded so you will need to Tap or use a 2 part epoxy to mount in a drilled out hole. Since you have to put in a new cable you will need to epoxy the endcap anyway...

Heard wrong, Minelab sales are quite good, Minelab is owned by Codan, look at their 2019 annual statement, in fact Minelabs 2019 sales was highest ever at $182 million.

I can tell you I shipped my excalibur II to the new repair center in PA to be checked out and since it was several years old I wanted all new seals also put on it. They did a fantastic
job on it and found a bad pod on it which was making my coil not preform properly. They replaced it, calibrated the machine and it smokes going very deep now. The bill was very reasonable too. You have to call Minelab in Indiana to get a RCA number before you ship the unit to the repair center.
