Agreed! Ever since I got my propane grill I can't stomach spending the money to buy a steak in a restaurant. I can cook them at home; twice the size, twice the taste, and half the price!

Hi all,

There is a little town (~400 folks) in central WY called Hudson. It sits ~10 miles north east of Lander on the way to Riverton. Two steak houses across the street from each who each raise their own cattle. One Svilars was owned by a former state senator, the second Club El Toro. Both have been in business many many years and the steaks are just awesome! If you are travelling this part of the country either is well worth the stop. Also, check out the Sinks Canyon south of Lander - the Popo Agie River disappears into an underground cavern and re-appears 1/2 mile downstream. Cool area!

Agreed 100%. I still like Charcoal/Natural wood better though - especially out camping. (and yes I use a propane grill myself at home for ease.)

Allegro Marinade for a couple of hours, Montreal Steak seasoning, seared on the outside and red in the middle.......

Never had a bad steak at Outback. Had a great ribeye at Stoney River Steaks in Atlanta. At home, I like to marinate an hour or two in Dale's Marinade and sprinkle with Tony's just before their ready to come of the grill. OK, I just made myself real hungry.

Ever tried a steak from a Charolais...so big that the t-bones barely fit on a platter

Split a 4-H raised steer a few years back...was by far the best meat ever.

Best steak ive ever eaten is here at home.
1&1/4 thick ribeye steak marinated in Coke, salt, pepper, garlic powder and pepper.
Marinate for 3 hrs max, red hot grill and pull at 135 degrees internal, rest under foil tent, devour
