    8-31-08 Tabdog Day

Got tired of spending gas money to get to hunting sites.

I went to the swimming pool down the road from my house.

I have recovered thousands up on thousands of targets out
of this site, and it is still trash infested. How ever, the targets
are getting deeper though. I’ve quit using my Compadre and
started using my Euro Sabre on it. The ground changes in a
few feet because of all the fill and digging that has gone on
here over the years. There are mineralized rocks all over the
place. There are shallow buried cables every where. Some
are in service and some are not active. They just left them
there. It’s mostly clay. It’s hard when it’s dry and sticky when
    wet.

In other words, It’s a bugger bear and always wears me out.

In November of 2007 I found a 14k gold 1/5th ct pair shaped
    diamond ring there.

    In January of 2008 I found a man’s 14k gold wedding band
there. It was right next to a steel reinforced concrete slab and
    under a chain link fence.

In April of 2008 I found a 1947 Arkansas State Teachers
College 12k gold ring there. Can not find the owner. It was
right next to a steel reinforced concrete slab and under a chain
link fence. It was under a penny, a pull tab and two pieces of
rusty nails. It was about 6” deep.

Well, today was wearing me out big time. I dug a piece of
1 ¼” copper pipe. It was more than a foot in that awful ground.
    It was getting real hot.

I got a signal just like a pull tap at the corner of that fence in
the first photo. It sounded deep, like most of them now. I am
    determined to dig them here.

About seven inches down, out comes this 14k gold, man’s
    wedding band.

    I could not believe it.

This is my twelfth gold ring in 2008.

That was my goal for the WHOLE YEAR.

I have four more months to try and smash my coal.

So, this is Tabdog Day. Sunday, August 31, 2008.

    I proclaim it so.

    Yay T-dog! Go man go!
Coin collecting is the only hobby that you have money even when you are broke.
