12/7/08 The Chicken Rance is now closed!

It is a sad day here in Colorado.
My best place to hunt is now closed for ever!
I called it the Chicken ranch cuz that is what it was in the early 1900 to 1974.
The place was owned by the same family for over 100 years.
The last family member has passed away this last week and the property has been sold.
Joe was a great guy, may he rest in peace!
I found the Chicken ranch and Joe just about a year ago.
Joe let me hunt there anytime I wanted to hunt, again he was a great guy!
Let me keep every thing I found, all he wanted was to see what I found. Try ed a hundred times to do something for him, but he always said "no you found it, you keep it"
Two days ofter Joe's death, his great-grandson sold the property and the fence went up with no trespassing signs.
Oh well all good things come to an end sometime.
The Chicken Ranch has been great for me.
27 Morgan Silver Dollars
69 Wheat penny's
15 Silver dimes.
8 Silver Quarters
4 Gold Rings
7 Silver rings
2 Gold ear rings
And other really cool stuff I will post on my year end report.

I will really miss Joe and the Chicken ranch!
It was a great ride.
