Prospecting
I've recently met a man with 3 Clams north of Granite. He has asked me to sample his areas and possibly work them with heavy equipment. This summer was my first season as a prospector and even though I learned tons, I still have a long ways to go. Would like some advice and maybe meet some new friends next season who may want to join.

Alluvial deposits as benches on bedrock. Vertical granite slabs with hard rock mines around claim. So far, about 30 pieces of color from top of mountain and 6 pieces of color average from bottom, near river. I have built a gas shop-vac setup that works great. I will be heading up soon to hit the exposed bedrock outcrops that were once under water. The vertical slabs have many Crevices and cracks.

Does anyone have any advice as what to look for as a good place to start? The "line of gold" was over the entire hill side at one time. Thank you for any help.
