I'm planing a trip to do some scuba diving along the Rainbow River. The spot we are going to is where the tubers and swimmers are. To be honest I haven't been there yet, just heard about it from friends and looked at videos on youtube of the area. I've been told they don't allow scuba diving in the spring now.....

Is metal detecting aloud? I found one link about metal detecting but it is yes you can maybe you can't site but still with good information. http://www.marioncountyfl.org/Parks/Pr_Policies.aspx

Any advice for the area, also which dive shop in the area might help?

I remember reading that one person posted on here about scuba diving and metal detecting along there but I can't find it now.

(also posted in the Beach & Shallow Water section)

The Rainbow River is absolutely beautiful. I looked at the site you posted and know why the river is so clear( all the mud is in the metal detecting paragraphs.)

:laughing9:

It took me a minute to catch that one, way too funny. Probably the best answer I will receive for this one.

Thanks for making my day.
