Hey neighbor, I live down the street from the area you are talking about. Plenty of old gold mines in that area, mostly hidden and forgotten and mostly not Cherokee. The area was hit by miners from before the "Trail of Tears and the lots were divided in size by lottery depending on gold or non gold bearing lots. I work in Bridgemill subdivision often and when I talk to a home owner and they talk about the basement cracking and settling I joke about the mine tunnels under they're house.

Hey war,
I was over in Bridgmill a couple days ago, down on sixes creek. Didnt do much panning, just scouting the creek. Met a guy down there who said the creek was full of placer. Im building a mini collapsable sluice to take next time. Do you do much panning?
