    Tantalus

    Hey 808beginnerdigger

I recall that you mentioned awhile back that you were still looking forward to your first Hawaiian BIMAL sode.......

Unfortunately, it's tough to get bottlers to give away their good digging spots because they want sodes too

However, there are a few spots out there that "everyone" knows about and still produce sodes now and then

One of my favorite spots to go digging when all else fails is Mount Tantalus

Granted, I mostly end up ballahead or with a couple ABMs instead of BIMALs

Every once in awhile though someone still pulls a BOMB up there

The last time I was there I met HawaiianBottleHunter coming out of the bushes with his wife. We were both ballahead that day, but he showed me pictures of a mint Hawaiian Marble Stopper (Hollister I think) that his friend scored the weekend before

The best I ever did was a Consolidated H.I. Crown......

    Re: Tantalus

Anyway, my point here is that you should drive up there now and then - especially after big rains - and walk around in the jungle.

You can also try dropping a few test holes here and there, but the bottles are so spread out this rarely works......

Mostly you just find a sode sticking out of the dirt or lying on the surface

Go up there a couple times a week and keep your eyes open - you WILL find a sode!!!

Big MAHALO for the info. Not familiar with that place and how to get there. I'll ask 808Kaz, he'll know. Thanks Again!
