Went back to my 1930s Chicago park. I usually hunt these trashy parks with my discrimination pretty tight. I usually block out evertything below 30 on the conductivity axis. With all the silver and wheaties I have been finding at this spot I figured that there must be some older nickels or other low tone goodies.

I opened up my detector and went really slow focusing on the deeper signals since the place is littered with shallow to medium depth pull tabs and foil. Was able to pop 7 older nickels - 3 Vs (1895, 1910, 1912), 2 Buffs (1919D and dateless), a 1943S war nickel, and a 1948 Jefferson. Also got a 1943 Merc. Was really surprised to find out that a blackened crusted silver dime turned out to be a seated 1876CC. Got my first gold of the year with a 18K religious medallion. Also found 15 wheaties plus an interesting button or stud with a lincoln penny front.

Three silvers and an 18k....NICE DAY! Great spot you have and I'd keep at it with the new technique. HH ALL

NICE scores, Pocket. The guy who got me started on MD back in the 80's (RIP, Tom), used to alternate between Washington and Jefferson parks in the City every Sunday morning for about 4-5 hours. He pulled POUNDS of old silver out of those.
