    Silver Coin

My wife work as a manager at a gas station and counting the safe to get the deposit ready she came across this coin and gave it to me. Somebody needed a beer or smokes bad to use this as 50 cents or something. Anyone translate this?

Ask Buckleboy about the coin. If he does not know what it is no one will.

http://cgi.ebay.com/1943-Republic-of...QQcmdZViewItem im new here sorry im not sure how to make it a link so just copy and paste, but that is a link to 1943 coin just the same as yours, from the bidding price it doesnt look like its worth alot but it is still a nice looking coin to hold onto, the bidding on it ends oct,16th so you might want to see it soon, only thing i can find on it and that link is to a 1943 Republic of Ecuador Five Sucres coin so im guessing yours is just a year newer, hope this helps ya out ya, good luck in the future , 1988crx

    Allen:
    Good observation.
Yes, this coin was minted at the Mexico City mint for the Honduran government.
The Mexico City mint mark is just above the word 'Mexico'.
