Finally, good weather

Made a little hunt about ten days ago and found a Savoy bakery token, a tiny iron used for collars, and a V nickle. My buddy and i found an old store site today. I found five tokens and a 1951 silver dime. I was only able to dig one of the tokens, the other four were on top of the ground. I also found a couple of small bottles, a large barrel tap, and lots of marbles. Bernie found a token and a 1876 seated dime.
the machines in the wet cane fields are tearing them up badly. The huntable fields are hard to find. Maybe spring will be better.

the last token listed must be a dual token used at the company store. Interesting that this token made its way to south Louisiana from Chicago.

4 out of 5 tokens were on top of the ground. Why do you even bring a detector with you, other than having something to prop yourself on when kneeling down or standing back up. excellent finds. Keep those pictures coming

I bet all this wet weather will show any coins deep in the ground and cuts like butter. After Tuesday I am gonna be off for 2 weeks and would really like to do something with another member. I live in Galvez google that when you see the name Galvez on the map look to the right there is an h pointing to the east that is my place. I am 41 not rich but certainly not hurting, I have time off like a retired person with the school bus. Oh 41 yrs old I have an AOS in electronics was an OTR trucker almost own my home and I do Own my 06 economy car. ACE 250 looking to upgrade if I get into the hobby better.
