Bunch of Relics

I've been hunting the old homesites again - it's an addiction, you know! Well, today - dantheman and I dug so much that we got exhausted just digging good signals. Here is my haul for the last several hunts.

Those are some great digs. What do you think the 1872 tag is about? Baggage tag of some type? Cool stuff.

I've been waiting since friday for permission(from a realtor) to hunt an older site.
And I've been thinking I should look for relics as well as coins. Be glad to find stuff
like in your pics.

Nice bunch o relics Ian.The ring is pretty sweet too!
Good to see your "junque" bag in the last pic........I recently visited a cellar hole in NE Groveland Twp where a previous MDer had dug large holes accross the hillside...didnt bother to fill them back in...and tossed the unpopular finds on the groung next to the holes.
A bowhunter happened by as I was surveying the damage.....he looked at the mess and then at me. I was embarassed for the hobby.
